2 Girls 1 Cup is an infamous shock video. Being a short one-minute trailer created for the 2007 Brazilian pornographic scat film Hungry Bitches, produced by MFX Media. Along with Goatse, it is probably the most famous piece of shock media in existence.
Video Trailer
The trailer starts with a yellow text that reads "MFX 1209." Then it shows two lesbian women, the actresses Karla and Latifa, kissing each other while half topless, followed by scenes of Latifa defecating onto a cup. They eat and lick their own feces from the cup and vomit into each other's mouths, as well as even vomiting into the cup and eating it as well, all while the song Lover's Theme by Hervé Roy plays throughout the video. There are multiple websites hosting this video, one of them alternatively playing Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up throughout the video.
The full movie has actual background audio and has far more disgusting acts, such as Latifa urinating onto the cup, them drinking their urine, putting all of the feces on the ground and into a bowl, etc.
Background
The video was originally filmed by the now-middle-aged director Antonio Fiorito. Antonio was interested in producing homemade fetish films since 1994 with his wife. A few years later, he soon moves on to start a fetish film business and chooses coprophilia as one of its main fetishes. This is the origin of MFX Media.
Many viewers argue that the feces in the videos are actually food substances, like chocolate ice cream, peanut butter, or etc.
Some viewers also believe the vomit was actually real but was regurgitated before reaching the stomach. In addition, the majority of the vomit doesn't go into their mouths. The director was later fired for arguing that the excrement was chocolate ice cream.
The text "MFX 1209" at the beginning of the video is actually a production code for the movie Hungry Bitches as well as the URL on mfxvideo.com.
After the viral spread of the video, a rumor began to spread claiming that Latifa died from dysentery after consuming the feces and that the director was arrested. This rumor is false because Karla and Latifa still star in many of MFX Media's videos, but the latter had been confirmed.

The video first appeared on a website called 2girls1cup.com, which only featured the video playing automatically in fullscreen. The site's creator (named as Polarbur) claimed he found the video on SomethingAwful and made the website to share or spam the link on forums; the original video begin around 600 MB long. Later, the original owner handed over the site to someone else, who turned it into a platform for generic scam and porno ads. In the first 6 months, the site had accumulated at least around 32 million views, which breaks the same record as Goatse, which accumulated only 27 million in the span of 8 months.[1]

The video grew very popular and people started making parodies and reaction videos of it. There's a variant of the site that uses a script that tries to prevent the user from closing the site by making the browser window move around on the desktop and displaying an infinite amount of alert boxes saying "HELLO!" when clicking the close button.
In the Family Guy episode "Back to the Woods", Brian asks Stewie Griffin to help him get unhitched to a pole. Stewie refuses in retaliation for "making me watch that video with the 2 girls and a cup" followed by a cutaway to Brian filming Stewie sitting on the computer and watching the infamous shock video and then proceeds to become surprised, disgusted, and shocked.
It also has set a major standard in shock videos where most shock sites/videos are titled in the Number X Number X pattern. Examples include 1 Man 1 Jar, 1 Man 1 Screwdriver, 3 Guys 1 Hammer, 2 Girls 1 Finger, 1 Girl 1 Cake (a.k.a Cake Farts), 1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick. The list goes on.
