Flappy Bird was an innocuous Scratch project created by user "kingliam3" on January 31st, 2014, based on the mobile game with the same name. On November 18th, 2021, however, a user on 4chan, known as "Armus", password guessed kingliam's account and the game to display Ronnie McNutt's suicide livestream when the player dies. A Scratch reupload of it was played by SleepyWaterCow, further boosting the popularity of the game.[1]
