Glory Hole Foundation was a shock site , crafted as a bait and switch and shock unsuspecting visitors. The site posed as a benevolent, not-for-profit golf and country club community, complete with a polished logo and a social media presence on [1] and Twitter[2]. However, these façades were just part of the scheme to dupe those who stumbled upon it.
The main page of the website featured a stark white background, emblazoned with the Glory Hole Foundation logo and an innocuous green "Enter Website" button. But once the button was clicked, the visitor was greeted with a graphic GIF of two naked men engaging in anal sex, accompanied by a raucous, explicit audio clip of a man moaning. The site's creators had even embedded a vicious script within the source code, causing a malicious popup window to appear on the screen, bouncing around and duplicating the same disturbing GIF from the main page.
Origin
The website, created in early 2015, was the brainchild of "Prank Call Nation", who initially used it to pull pranks on unsuspecting victims. It quickly found its way onto popular streaming platforms like Twitch, where it was used in bait and switch tricks, designed to mislead people into believing that Glory Hole Foundation was a legitimate not-for-profit entity. Users on 4chan eventually uncovered the site and began to use it to pull similar pranks on Twitch streamers, reminiscent of the infamous Onche.fr site.
As part of their scheme, the Glory Hole Foundation also launched a second website, called "Desk Corporate IT". This second site was targeted at people interested in technology and had the same modus operandi as the main site. If someone clicked on the "Enter Website" button, they would be directed to the same shocking content as the first site.
