Jewsnip.com was a shock site created and hosted by an unknown user on October 2nd, 2007[1]. The site was closed between 2009 and 2010.

Content

When accessing the domain, the page featured an image tag for a picture of two men with one performing a fellatio to another;[2] however, the image itself did not load because it was never archived. It was labeled as romance.JPG and included the alt text, "SHIT DON'T DISCRIMINATE."

The page's background was set to an image named Soap Bubbles.bmp, a standard Windows XP wallpaper, and looped the Windows XP startup and Critical Stop audio files. However, these audio elements failed to work on modern browsers because their sources were incorrectly referenced as local file paths instead of proper URLs. At the bottom of the page, a view counter read: "You are Snip Number: 000004."

The webpage contained malicious scripts designed to spawn an endless array of dialog boxes reading "Eat Shit" "Balls of Steel" and "Go to Demon" It also attempted to automatically print the viewer's screen, a feature blocked on modern browsers due to security restrictions. According to the source code, these scripts were programmed using JavaScript 1.2.

Appearance

Jewsnip.com has made an appearance on a few online spaces, such as "A List of Sites You Probably Should Avoid!"[3] and other online forums, further proving its existence.[4] A video on YouTube also exists showing someone reacting to shock sites, one namely jewsnip.com, in which he simply say "Now that... was gay".[5] A Reddit post on r/MondoGore was created, attempting to figure out what the content of the page was.[6]
