The Scary Maze game is a screamer game developed by a Scratch user who goes by the name of Alex-Kraussel. Despite its brevity, the game is designed to shock and scare players, leaving them with a lasting impression.
The game mechanics are simple and similiar to The Maze, and the player is required to move a red square through a maze that is reminiscent of the yellow version of The Maze. As the player navigates through the maze, the walls begin to shrink. At the curved parts of the maze, where the walls are close to the left and right edges, a terrifying image of Regan MacNeil pops up suddenly, accompanied by the same scream that was used in the popular game Five Nights at Freddy's.
The final corner of the maze is designed to be impossible to pass through, adding to the frustration and sense of tension experienced by the player.
