Screamer Cactus is a French shock site created by French forum user PyjamaSam.[1] It was first described on a Jeuxvideo.com forum by the creator on April 7, 2012.[2]
Content
The site contains a picture of a man with a cactus inserted inside his anus, with a small drop of semen coming out of his penis. The website embeds a Flash file called "out.swf" to open an endless amount of tabs and play an extremely loud version of the song "The Cadillac Theory" by Stupeflip.
The page utilizes a JavaScript function called caca to display an alert with the text "CAACACAAA" (caca means "poop" in French), which calls itself recursively. Another JavaScript function, full, attempts to put the browser into full-screen mode. It also uses CSS styling to make the cursor invisible.
History
During the summer of 2012, Screamer Cactus gained notoriety due to its usage in Twitter raids. In early 2016, a small team of people went to Twitch to trick streamers into opening the website during livestreams.
On April 8, 2016, a streamer named Takeru_46 opened the Screamer Cactus during one of his livestreams. The page stayed open on the broadcast for over four minutes before he managed to close it.
