The episode begins with a Japanese title card translated as "The Witch's Eye" which distorts multiple times to create an unsettling atmosphere before English subtitles appear. The narrator explains that Poochee and Pansy have defeated the witch and are on a mission to save a kitten, though flashes of the eyeless witch and background screams hint at a darker turn.

Narrator
As they stand before a locked door, Poochee reveals he is wearing the witch's eye over his own to see through it, but the image quickly distorts with the warning message "Cannot hide." The video then cuts to live-action footage of icicles accompanied by low-pitched beeping, followed by a person walking through the snow to find the words "Find You" written on the ground.
The Narrator, as the name implies, narrates the beginning and end of every episode of the show. Not much else is known about him as of now, the narrator only appears in the first episode.

Locations
This text transforms into a white animated picture that slowly turns red before the Huntmaster reaches toward the screen. The scene ends with a black background and red text stating, "Everyone in your world is dead but you. Only you exist," followed by a final flash of the words "FIND YOU."
Locations from Poochee and Pansy
Puppy Hill
Puppy Hill is the main location in Poochee & Pansy and also mostly featured every title cards. Most of the episodes begin here, and the morals are explained here. During a map segment in the first episode, it's revealed that Puppy Hill is north of Longway Road, and west of Batwing Cave

Batwing Cave
In the 2024 remastered version, Pansy uses her soundwaves to freeze the witch so Poochee can attack. During the struggle, the witch's right eye slithers into Poochee’s empty socket, granting him the power to defeat her. The episode concludes with the puppies standing in front of the locked door, mirroring the original ending.
Batwing Cave, as the name implies, is the home to many bats. It's between Puppy Hill, and the town of Sufferdark. It's where Skully was trapped, and a dark place to visit, an image of a skeleton jumpscares appears in the end of Poochee and Pansy First Episode

Strife Tower
Episode 5
Strife Tower is the lair or home of the show's antagonist: The Witch. It's located in Sufferdark Forest.

The video begins with the Huntmaster warning the viewer that they "cannot hide" before a glitchy title screen leads into a series of unsettling images, including a cowering man, a gray dog with sharp teeth, and house footage from a previous episode.

The title itself is hidden by a black censor panel, followed by a rapid montage of disturbing visuals: Smile Dog, a cartoon forest, the witch, an eyeless Poochee, and close-ups of Binzo Tsujii in a prison cell.

The Huntmaster then reappears, his body flailing wildly to the sound of loud, distorted noises. The main scene begins with two yellow eyes peering from a dark doorway, which Poochee identifies as the kitten they have been seeking.

After the animals stare at each other for a long period, the video cuts to a montage of random clips, including an "evil" Poochee, the skull screamer, and footage from the 1946 Disney short The Story of Menstruation. A stylized "G" appears on the title screen before returning to the Disney footage, where a girl's reflection suddenly comes to life and smiles wide at the camera.

As the scene zooms in on her face and a loud roar fills the audio, the video shifts to the inside of a house where the words "All dead" are written in blood-red on the wall. The footage then shows someone walking through a field of tree stumps that matches the cartoon drawing seen earlier.

Poochee warns the viewer that what is on TV is real while everything else is make-believe. Finally, the girl from the Disney short appears again with a loud scream, followed by the full message: "You cannot hide from the truth." The video concludes with one last look at the stylized "G."
Episode 6
The next episode focuses on the entity known as Gangadiddle. The video begins with eerie audio and swaying visuals before the title emerges through glitches and distorted narration.

Although the heading is partly hidden, viewers can clearly identify the name "Gangadiddle" among the distorted noise. The story then follows Poochee, Pansy, and the kitten at home, where Poochee reads a mysterious scroll that suddenly appears.

Before he can identify the sender, the footage shifts to a distorted illustration of the creature followed by a live-action figure of Gangadiddle standing on a table. A jack-in-the-box with a panda’s face appears next, playing Brahms' Lullaby until the music ends and the panda’s face zooms in with sharp teeth and an evil grin to emit a loud screech.

As the camera scans the house, brief shots of the skull screamer and the doll from previous episodes flicker on the screen. The Huntmaster then emerges to extend his hand toward the viewer, leading into a montage of disturbing clips from past episodes.

The video ends with the cryptic message, "You must find it to become free!" This installment's suspenseful atmosphere and deep connection to the larger ARG make it a standout part of the series.

Episode 7
The episode begins with the usual title screen, which fades away to reveal the title "Part 7" as a man's face covers the remaining text. Poochee, Pansy, and the kitten initially appear smiling to calming piano music, but this peaceful scene is quickly interrupted by a flashing close-up of the kitten's head and a loud screech.

After a brief shot of a computer processing data, the video returns to the trio under a dark sky, where Pansy and the kitten are missing their faces and Poochee is eyeless. Poochee repeats the same cryptic message from the fifth episode before the footage cuts to a person walking through a backyard accompanied by eerie sounds and a shot of a worm crawling on their arm.

The series concludes with a foreboding screen stating, "David's mind traverses many parallels. His memories will help you." This message is followed by the code "XRZ 9hOUIFec" and a final flash of the letter G.

Special Announcement
The video opens with the Dolst Family Entertainment logo as Poochee, Pansy, and the witch reassure viewers that the show is not real and there is no reason to be afraid. However, the footage soon distorts as the characters transform into sinister forms, with the puppies becoming demonic creatures and the witch turning into the Huntmaster. The viewer is then bombarded with a series of bizarre images, including a doll's head, the witch, and the text "You are alone" mixed with footage of birds and the skull screamer. The video then cuts to footage of someone walking through a hospital hallway, ending abruptly with a flash of the "All dead" text just as the person reaches the doors.

Poochee and Pansy is an animated web series created and uploaded to YouTube in 2009.

Synopsis

The plot begins with two puppies who receive a "dream message" about a kitten kidnapped by an evil witch and travel to the dark land of Sufferdark to save it. However, early clues signal that something is wrong, as glitches, screamers and a masked live-action figure called the Huntmaster (real name; Nathan Israel)[1] suggest the animation is being hijacked by an outside reality.[2][3]

As the episodes progress, the "fourth wall" breaks entirely when the characters stop talking to each other and begin delivering clues and warnings to the viewer, such as "What's on TV is real; what's outside is make-believe." Hidden audio and text from the early 2010s describe a "mass extinction" where 96% of life on Earth has been devoured by an entity called the Gangadiddle.[2]

The show’s creator, Rob Dolst, was a member of a cult as a child, where children were taught to "shift" their minds and focus so hard on imaginary friends that the characters would physically appear. Poochee and Pansy are implied to be ghosts of these childhood manifestations or the repressed memories of "David," a character whose mind "traverses many parallels."[2]

In the original "game", the player (the "Hunter") must find the Gangadiddle in the real world to stop the "program" from completing its takeover. The "G" symbol shows that the monster has finally moved from the TV show into the real world. The 2019 "Remasters" suggest a figure called "The Technician" is still fighting to free Nathan and Rob from the cult's influence.[2][3]

Characters

 • Poochee & Pansy: These two puppies are the main protagonists and appear in every episode. Poochee is a brown mixed-breed puppy with floppy ears, while Pansy is a mix of German Shepherd, Polish Tatra, and Croatian Sheepdog, recognized by her pink bow.
 • The Kitten: This orange cat was captured by the Witch before the series began. After sending a dream message to the puppies for help, he was rescued and became their friend, though he only communicates through meows.
 • The Witch: A pale green-skinned antagonist of the cartoon with bloodshot eyes and long black hair.
 • The Huntmaster: This figure wears a dark hoodie, matching gloves, and a featureless white mask. He usually appears during disturbing sequences or at the start of episodes but only has one spoken line. His real name is Nathan Israel.
 • The Gangadiddle: The antagonist of the entire ARG, this enigmatic creature is a large, deformed white robot that stands on four fork-shaped legs.

Episodes

Episode 1

The map leading from Puppy Hill to a cave from Sufferdark.

In the first episode, a narrator introduces the puppy characters and explains that Poochee has urgent news for Pansy. Poochee describes a strange dream about a kitten locked up by an evil witch, and since Pansy had the exact same dream, they realize it is a message meant for them.

The two prepare to travel to Sufferdark, but they must first pass through Batwing Cave to reach their destination. Inside the cave, a firefly appears to lead the way, but a rotten skull with a bloodshot blue eye on a black background suddenly interrupts him with a loud, distorted scream.

The original video included an annotation warning viewers about this jump scare. In 2019, the video was remastered to be largely the same as the original, though the screamer was removed so the firefly could finally finish his line.

Episode 2

In the second episode, a glitched title card briefly displays an image of Binzo Tsujii from Junji Ito's The Souichi Front. The story begins with Poochee and Pansy missing their eyes and mouths while Poochee repeats a line from the previous episode.

The audio and visuals distort before cutting to footage of a person exploring a dark room and encountering ordinary household items, ending with the Huntmaster reaching toward the camera.

Although the original episode was taken down in 2014 for unknown reasons, it was later reposted, and a remastered version was released in 2021. In the remake, the firefly leads the puppies into a cave, but they soon discover he is actually a fake "rockbat."

After fleeing and getting lost in the darkness, they find the real firefly injured from a rockbat attack. The firefly tells them to escape just as more creatures appear, and the screen fades to black as Poochee moans in pain.

The episode ends with Poochee waking up in a witch's lair, realizing that both he and Pansy were knocked out by venom and that Pansy is now missing.

A sequel titled "Poochee and Pansy Part 2 Remastered" was announced by the channel at approximately 3:30 AM, but it was soon revealed to be a hoax. A hacker using the alias "The Technician" had uploaded the fraudulent video and falsely claimed it was a sequel. Upon regaining access to the channel, the creator immediately deleted the video and apologized to viewers by uploading this specific update.

Episode 3

A frame of the distorted title card, featuring The Huntmaster in the background.

The episode begins with a title card that briefly transforms as the text turns black, the sky turns red, and an ominous piano piece plays. The narrator informs viewers that Poochee and Pansy have reached Sufferdark to confront the witch, while a distorted 2D image of the Huntmaster flickers in the background.

Inside the witch's lair, Poochee finds Pansy trapped in a cage hanging over a vat of green liquid. The witch offers to release Pansy if Poochee gives up his eyes, and despite Pansy's protests, he agrees because he sees no other way to save her.

As the witch reaches for his face, the video cuts to a series of disturbing images, including a spinning fan, a close-up of the witch, a beeping phone, and a crying girl's doll with a bulging eye. The episode ends with the message: "You are alone but you do not know it."

A remastered version released in 2022 redesigned the witch to look like The Cryptkeeper and added a more graphic ending. In this version, Pansy screams "No!" before the screen cuts to black with a squishing noise. When the visuals return, Poochee screams in pain as the witch removes his right eye, while Pansy's cries create a loud, echoing soundwave that surrounds her cage as the episode ends.

Episode 4

A message written in blood-red text on the snow.

This text transforms into a white animated picture that slowly turns red before the Huntmaster reaches toward the screen. The scene ends with a black background and red text stating, "Everyone in your world is dead but you. Only you exist," followed by a final flash of the words "FIND YOU."

Episode 5

A crude drawing of a real forest, shown as a cutaway in Episode 5.

Episode 6

The uncensored version of the title card revealing the creature's name.
