Ring.exe is a Chinese screamer application developed by LTSoft in 2001.
Payload
When the user launches the program, it displays a horror story written in red Chinese text. This text is displayed for about 45 seconds, and then displays a message from the developer, which disappears after about 5 seconds. Afterwards, it displays a fullscreen image of Sadako Yamamura from Ring at random intervals.
