Site Description

The site contains 20 videos that can be viewed in a specific order. First comes the warning. If you ignore it, then the challenge itself immediately opens.

Once you have clicked on the "Begin your journey" button, the challenge begins with extremely graphic videos from violent sites such as BestGore, Ogrish.com ”, “Thatsphucked.com” and many others. As you go further, each level becomes more disgusting. Some videos were even removed from the challenge because they were deemed too obscene. The site also has a second challenge called the Spanish Shame Challenge.

Difficulty levels

The site has its own special system of difficulty levels.

1. Initial. The initial level contains videos numbered 1-3. At this difficulty level, slight human injuries are shown.

2. Easy. The easy level contains videos numbered 4-7. At this difficulty level, there are more brutal death scenes and other disgusting scenes.

3. Hard. The hard level contains videos numbered 12-15. There are more lewd and nasty scenes in this difficulty level than in others. It also contains a shocking death scene (video 13).

4. Insane. The insane level contains videos numbered 16-20. The final and intimidating level of the entire site. It contains brutal murder scenes, as well as other shocking and frightening scenes.

Challenge Levels Content

Level 1. Women fight each other in arm wrestling. One of them put her hand incorrectly, because of which her elbow joint breaks in the opposite direction.

Level 2. A man cuts the spaces between his fingers with a sheet of paper and demonstrates the cuts from the sheet.

Level 3. A man plays Russian roulette with a knife and puts the knife on a circle, covering it with a cardboard glass, placing 3 more glasses nearby. A man hits a glass with a knife and is severely wounded, and in the finale he is shown with a bandaged hand.

Level 4. One Japanese woman inserts a dildo down her throat, and she pours vomit on the first one. Level 5. Staged video in which a man stabs his ex-girlfriend with a knife. When passers-by manage to stop him, the girl stands up and her injuries are visible.

Level 6. A Russian video where a man climbs out of a burning car through the windshield. Burns are visible all over the body, especially on the back. Putting out the fire on himself, he lays down on the ground.

Level 7. In Mumbai (a city in western India), a little girl was run over by a train. (removed from site)

Level 8. A girl performs a Houdini trick in the bathroom with her feet and hands tied. She faints trying to get out.

Level 9. The turtle eats a still-living mouse, tearing it in half. The video is accompanied by the music "Brand X Music - Fearless".

Level 10. The doctor takes a gadfly larva out of the kitten's eye.

Level 11. A suicide gets in the way of a subway and gets hit by a train.

Level 12. A woman puts a hot iron on a man's penis and he screams in pain. Level 13. A 16-year-old teenager jumps from a Lebanese port into the sea, but hits his head on a platform, crushing his skull. Further in the hospital, the skull of a still living person is shown broken into 2 parts.

Level 14. We are shown an ugly old lady with maggots in her eyes.

Level 15. A man inserts a drill into the penis cut in half, which drills the urethra.

Level 16. PETA's PSA to boycott fur products from China (China is one of the largest fur suppliers). It shows footage from a Chinese fur farm where dogs are beaten and later skinned alive for sale. These shots run parallel to a woman who describes the process of skinning and the suffering of animals after it. Also during the description, she shows footage of a raccoon dog, which, being skinless, was still alive.

Level 17. An Asian woman licks the secretion of the sebaceous glands, located under the head behind the foreskin, from the penis of a man. Throughout the video, she does not hide her disgust, at some points she almost throws up. The video is accompanied by rather depressing robotic music.

Level 18. The man sits down on the jar, inserting it into the anus, where it soon bursts. The man pulls the fragments from the intestines, flooding the floor with blood.

Level 19. A Mexican cartel decapitates a man with a knife. The man was still alive at the time of the beheading.

Level 20. Igor Suprunyuk smashes the face of an elderly man lying on the ground with a hammer, and then Viktor Saenko pierces his eyes and stomach with a screwdriver. When they hear the sound of a train, they kill him for good.

Removed from trial

The Run the Gauntlet main challenge concludes with scene 20, and we can look at other scenes that haven't been shown before. They are just as violent and obscene as the videos in the main challenge.

Cage Kitty

Cage Kitty, also known as NEDM is a shock video filmed by Kishor Nokayonokatsu on June 4th, 2005. The video depicts Kishor Nokayonokatsu putting a cat inside named "Mottles" in a small cage. A few seconds later, Kishor Nokayonokatsu decided to get a flammable liquid and doused the cage and set it on fire. Later on, it was also posted on the Zippocat post on Ogrish.com. The music "Sweet Little Dead Bunny" is also playing in the video.

YTMND Association

Later on, the Cage Kitty video also made its way into YTMND with a converted .gif with the same music from the video. The YTMND also got deleted within the same hour. Little would people know, the NEDM meme would be created by this also.

Vine Kitten Kicker

Vine Kitten Kicker is a shock video that was uploaded on Vine on August 2013 by Walter Easley.

The video depicts Walter talking to the viewer about a joke that the kitten that is spoiled it "only drinks milk and won't eat cat food". After, Walter puts a small orange kitten off of his house's porch. A few seconds later, he kicks the small orange kitten and the small orange kitten meowing loudly then running away in distress, then the video ends.

Aftermath

The Vine video was highly unnoticed, until August 11th when Redditor u/toofrat submitted the Vine video to the r/rage subreddit and yielded over 1,800 up votes and 460 comments in the first 48 hours. In the comments, redditors would post the doxx of Walter in the comments, but was quickly deleted by moderators. On the same day 4chan would get involved and users began posting his home address and Google Maps screenshots of his possible residence, to which Easley responded by taunting his detractors via Twitter. Also on August 11th, the Internet news site The Daily Dot reported on the developing story, noting that Easley is "only adding fuel to the fire" by openly taunting his detractors and threatening to kick more cats in yet another Vine video, though the latter was subsequently deleted from his account. The same day but on a evening, a document allegedly containing Easley’s address, phone number and other personal information was released via Pastebin, also while an online petition titled “Bring Water Easley, the kitten kicker, to justice” was launched on The Petition Site, urging the Humane Society of South Carolina to bring him to justice. On August 13th, The Daily Dot published a follow-up article reporting that Easley has made his Twitter feed private and 4chan users has identified the owner of the cat as Twitter user @buck4411.

Arrest

On August 19th, Easley was arrested by the Orangeburg County police on charges of animal cruelty. According to the local daily newspaper Times and Democrat and the Daily Dot, upon being questioned by animal control and law enforcement officers, the 17-year-old teenager reportedly claimed that the Vine video was staged to only make it seem as if he was kicking the cat, when he had "tossed it into the air with his foot". However, he later said that he had thrown the cat. He pled guilty and was sentenced to a pre-trial intervention, the details of which are sealed, instead of the maximum sentence for misdemeanor animal abuse of 60 days in jail.
