Insanity.exe (overwise known as Sonic2.exe: Part III) is a creepypasta .exe game created by NovaWare on ?, 2014. It is considered a sequel to Sunshine.exe but acknowledged further on the backstory. It is the final chapter of Nova's ".exe" trilogy.

Gameplay

The game abruptly starts off with Tails flying his plane away from the black bar behind him. Going into the fading black bar will trigger a screamer with a picture of Tails Doll with a wide mouth open with sharp teeth. As Tails flies through various obstacles, he encounters a clone of Tails and a close-up picture of edited Sonic X picture of Tails with horrifying teeth, and red eyes, but with no scream.

Act 9: Final Hope

The player takes on Sonic in Act 9. During the game, Sonic discovers he was in a dark and empty place. As he ventures, Sonic goes through various traps like the bridge of spikes, and finds Eggman, thinking that Eggman was behind all of this. Eggman however, told Sonic that he was glad to see him and tells him that they need to escape from there, otherwise someone with finds them, he reveals that it was Zalgo, who is a fearsome devil that controls Tails' body, and promises that Tails might be alive somewhere. Sonic continues his progress and passes through many obstacles like a floor of spikes, and enters a cave, where a clone of Tails pops up in front of him and sends Sonic down into the ravine below, into a floor of blood. As Sonic continues further, static suddenly appears with sinister laughs with scary pictures of Tails Doll with creepy messages, and encounters a clone of Tails again and cuts to black.

Then, the message says that Sonic knew his true identity, and claims that he is in his world, and even a Hivemind, before the game cuts to black. Then, the game suddenly cuts to a level with static bricks, while collecting rings, before he was caught with the Tails clone again with his various creepy message as static bizarrely plays. Tails clone disappears and Sonic continues his progress and jumps into a ravine, just as a sinister laugh is heard. The player now takes on normal Tails. Tails venture through a dark room with a floor of blood, wondering where he is now, and thinks that Eggman used his body to summon Zalgo. Just as Tails ventures further through an empty path, he now encounter a clone of Tails, closing his eyes, so as Sonic. The game has two alternate endings:

Ending A

• If Tails kicks closed eyes of Sonic, the game freezes and cuts to black. Then a message that Tails shouldn't done that to Sonic, and tells him if he didn't like playing the rules, then an abrupt interruption takes place, with a message proclaiming "DIE NOW" with a picture of a close-up of evil Sonic with a scream. The game cuts to Sonic and Tails running away as the black bar chases on them and the background itself flashes with random pictures: "I AM GOD", Tails Doll, Clone Tails, etc.. They pass through various obstacles, and traps until they were stopped by Eggman at the wall. Eggman tells them that they found a way to stop Zelgo once and for all, and claims they they need power of mirror to seal it into a harmless body so he won't be able to escape. A clone of Tails pops up in front of Eggman, and Sonic with Tails, until he was suddenly weakened and transformed into a normal Tails Doll, with peaceful music plays. They proclaim their victory as Sonic and Tails leave. The game ends with Eggman wondering what to do with Tails Doll now, thus ending the game with "THE END" on the bar. But then, a red circle fades in, and a "?" on "END" pops up, proving that the story isn't over.

Ending B

• If Tails kicks a clone of Tails out of the game, Sonic tells Tails he was glad that Tails got rid of Tails clone, but in an unpleasant sounded way. Tails asks why Sonic is talking like that before Sonic claims it was nothing, and tells him they could get out of this creepy place. But then, Sonic opens his eyes, a twist that reveals that Sonic is actually Evil Sonic, triggering a scream with a picture of evil Sonic with his bloody hands and the game adruptly ends.
