Lomando.com, also known as Fancy Island (Japanese: ふぁんしーあいらんど), is an online horror-puzzle video game website hosted on Geocities in early 2011.

The game's creation is attributed to an anonymous individual known as Shisso-kanrinin (known online as (Mousoumanager, gentoo-nohito, Nohito, Yukihito (as a character in-game), and "fantasy person"). Made with the Adobe Flash plugin and incorporating sound effects and music from websites H/MIX GALLERY and On-Jin, the developer drew inspiration from a website called Jigokuhen (地獄変) and his fascination with occult and horror radio wave sites.[1] Originally designed for Japanese speakers, the game received attention for English players, culminating in a full translation of the top page and Yukan no Shonen's pages.

The game's narrative revolves around the events of August 14th, 2009, when Yukihito, the park manager, realized his dream of completing Fancy Island, an indoor theme park. Despite its successful launch and the introduction of a mascot named Mimi, the park faced an unexplained outbreak, hospitalizing 17 individuals. Though the cause remained unclear, Yukihito initially aimed to reopen the park on September 14th. However, this reopening never happened, as reports surfaced of ghosts taking control of the establishment. A clown named Pieyama God seized the park, commanding the ghosts to scare off visitors.

In December 2019, following the discontinuation of Adobe Flash Player, the developer announced rewriting the game in HTML5 to adapt to the impending removal of the Flash plugin, which finished in February 2020.

A short expansion of the game called Deep Fancy Island was released on January 6th, 2023.

Overview

Lomando.com presents players with an innocent-looking home page that hides its eerie nature. Clicking on the image of Mimi redirects users to Pref.html, where a cautionary warning appears, advising those with heart problems to proceed with caution. To access the game, users must click on Mimi's image at the bottom of Pref.html. Upon clicking, users find themselves on a foreboding page featuring a dark door against a black backdrop. Interacting with the door leads to encounters with either Ookamuro, a looming, disembodied head, or three Cursed Doors, accompanied by eerie ambient sounds. In the Ookamuro variant, five clickable white circles emerge in the bottom-left corner.

The game's narrative ventures into dark themes, including paranoia, suicide, and depression, categorizing it as an "utsuge" (鬱ゲー, "depressing game"). It combines elements of horror and puzzle-solving, with nearly every page housing intricate puzzles or contributing to a broader enigma.

Synopsis

The backstory of this game unfolds through a series of events, rooted in the creator of Fancy Island, Yukihito. Fancy Island is a theme park featuring mascots Mimi, Nyami, and Yomi, and this narrative primarily emerges from Yukihito's diaries, particularly "The Manager's Journal" and "The Theory of Wanting to Die," where he delves into his descent into depression and contemplation of suicide. Fancy Island officially opened on August 14, 2009, but a virus outbreak on its opening day, September 1st, 2009, abruptly led to its closure. Overwhelmed by guilt for causing 17 hospitalized, Yukihito withdrew from public life, thoroughly documenting his nightmares and dark thoughts. His mysterious death on April 4th, 2010, added eerie dimensions to his story, with some diary entries alluding to suicide, possibly by jumping from a building.[2]

The park's closure transformed it into a haven for evil spirits, including a pale woman named Kanrinin no Yorishiro, where Yukihito's spirit seems to reside posthumously. The Pieyama God, a clown ghost, seized control of the park, making it dangerous for trespassers. The exterior of the park retained its friendly decorations to lure people in, while the interior was transformed into a bloodier haunted house aesthetic. During this eerie period, Eris, a ghostly figure, took possession of a former park employee, transforming him into the sinister Nekomata.[3] (see Nekomata encounter)

The haunted park drew the curiosity of an unnamed researcher who aimed to cover its paranormal activities and the mysteries surrounding missing visitors. During their exploration, they discovered a cryptic passcode etched onto a room's wall, an event captured in their final recording.

Gameplay

Branching pages

Main.html

The Ookamuro variant of Main.html.

Upon accessing Main.html and clicking the entrance on the first page, the player will encounter Ookamuro[4], a woman who stares ominously at them with glowing eyes. In the background, an eerie ambiance can be heard, slowly transitioning into what appears to be growling or moaning sounds. Positioned in the bottom left corner, five buttons proceed the game's progression. If the player selects the fifth button, a ghostly blue-tinted woman (known as Yukie) appears by crawling toward them accompanied by moaning or groaning audio. However, her action does not inflict harm; instead, she simply removes the fifth button. To continue with the game, the player must press one of the remaining four buttons, each directing them to different web pages. The following buttons redirects to Elizabeth.html, Chaos.html, Heven.html, and Eden.html. Main.html has been updated multiple times throughout its years.[5][6]

Elizabeth.html

Elizabeth.html is a branching page that leads to a head grinning while crying blood from its eyes (referred to in the game as Elizabeth), visibly shaking on a black background. Upon clicking, the content transforms to more than six Elizabeth heads of various sizes sliding across the screen, accompanied by a laughing sound. Each of these heads leads to different pages below:

Akeru.html (First mask)

The first head directs players to Akeru.html[7], a page filled with a variety of randomly generated Japanese text, letters, and numbers. Approximately every 7 seconds, a stock of dolls (known as Nihonningyou) appears across the page. These images portray the dolls as if in the process of opening a door, which is then promptly closed after a brief moment. Within the page are two different links: one marked "薙k縺" positioned around the middle, and another located at the lower right corner, labeled "縺翫>・・"

  • The first link (Puzzledoor.html) displays a door with a puzzle to solve for access. The code consists of a sequence of colored Nihonningyou dolls. Correctly inputting the sequence redirects the player to Uozokjonasawuagukob.html.[8]
  • The second link (Tnihonematumusus.html[9]) showcases a YouTube video that firstly shows a static screen, before cutting to a scene in which a woman (known as Borei) with empty black eyes and a wide mouth rushes towards the screen while emitting moans, accompanied by a knocking sound. Following this, text appears on a note, serving as a hint for finding links in the line of text. The video then transitions to static again before ending. The note reads: "進む為の ヒントその壱 人形の間の 先のページを くまなく 調べて みてね 。 クリック できるポイントが あるかも…". ("Hint for progress: Thoroughly examine the page ahead within the realm of the dolls. There might be clickable points...")
The options representing a deformed fist (rock), a peace sign (scissors), and an arm resembling a chicken's ankle facing downwards, are used to complete Yukan no Shonen's game.

Accessible after finding the code for Puzzledoor.html, Uozokjonasawuagukob.html features a YouTube video showcasing a ghostly boy known as Yukan no Shonen.[10] Below the video, an answer bar is provided, along with an English version of the content. The video begins with Yukan no Shonen introducing a Japanese variation of the Rock Paper Scissors game called Jan Ken Pon. To progress, players are tasked with completing the game using the provided answer bar. The correct sequence of actions is as follows: scissors, rock, paper, rock, rock, scissors. Once the correct sequence is input and the door is clicked, players are directed to the Atelierdesu.html page.

A screenshot of Atelierdesu.html. Both sides of the screen are clickable, either leading to a shotgun or the shotgun's outline. The player can only choose one as it is a 50/50 chance.

Atelierdesu.html leads the player to encounter a scene featuring a woman (named "Tomato Onna")[11] in a grey room. The woman is seated in a chair while a door stands before her. On either side of this setup, white bars can be clicked by the player. Both sides showcase paintings of pink flowers and below one of the paintings lies either a shotgun or a hole resembling a shotgun's outline (which leaves players with no choice).[12] Once players acquire the shotgun and return to the gray room, a close-up of the woman's face appears accompanied by a loud scream. Choosing to shoot her results in blood splattering across the screen as her lifeless body falls out of view. Failing to take this action promptly or attempting to equip the shotgun leads to a game over. Clicking the door leads to a similar Theory.html. A 404 error page styled to resemble Google Chrome emerges before a visibly agitated woman wearing a surgical mask appears. She is characterized by wide, alarmed eyes (referred to as 404'san within the game). Her laughter plays alongside a beeping sound, prompting players to shoot her to advance. Afterward, a door appears, redirecting players to Ima3yaruk62oc.html.

Ima3yaruk62oc.html

Ima3yaruk62oc.html[13] guides players into a completely black room, allowing them to navigate using the arrow keys. In the bottom left corner, there's a map displaying the maze's layout, revealing that the room itself is a maze. There is a chance that two monsters, Yamiuchi Ji or Eris, may (re)appear and attack the player. However, players can use the shotgun acquired from the previous page to defend themselves and continue advancing. At the maze's end, a door appears, redirecting players to Kaidan1.html.[14]

On this page, the player enters a dimly lit staircase. With each step downward, the chance arises for one of two apparitions to appear. These entities feature a woman with pale skin and long black hair, known as Elusive, or Tomato Onna from the previous room, Atelierdesu.html. Approaching the player, these two can be eliminated with a simple click using the player's shotgun. Alternatively, players might come across another ghostly presence named Akai Sukato no Onnanoko. By strategically clicking away from her, especially near the screen's edges, she can be avoided. Opting to kill her, however, leads to a different outcome, propelling the player into an endless staircase. At the end, the player progresses to 7diackii2.html.

The next page closely resembles Kaiden1.html. As players progress, they notice a cassette tape. When played, a voice begins to reveal a password required to unlock the next room's door: 'The password to unlock the next room door is 4, 1, 2-.' However, this narration is suddenly cut off by the abrupt appearance of Pieyama Pie-Man Mk-2[15]. Moving further to the left, players encounter a tutorial that explains how to comprehend the necessary text for the upcoming room, Ujinoma.html,[16] which the player can now access.

The room in Ujinoma.html,[16] featuring a hanged corpse covered in maggots, along with two doors between it. The other door with the passcode is locked with a code in the form of Japanese characters, which has been explained in the previous page.

In the next room, two interactable doors can be seen, positioned on either side of a hanging body[17] at the center of the room. The area is infested with maggots, and they crawl over the body and on the ground. The walls possibly serve as a canvas for various drawings and Japanese characters made with blood.[18] Choosing the right-hand door guides players to Ikiammadem.html. Alternatively, clicking on the left door reveals an entrance controlled by a dial mechanism, which requires a specific code for entry. Inputting the code 412559 [肆壱弐伍伍玖] (as previously hinted in 7diackii2.html) unlocks the left door, leading the player to Cfoaansctyer.html.[19]

Clicking "Yes" on the armed coaster starts the ride, opening the previously closed door. Surviving the challenging sections leads to progression via the door to Maamokeznefg.html.

Cfoaansctyer.html features an underground cave where players have the choice to ride a coaster. Opting for the coaster begins gameplay, where players use a mounted machine gun on the minecart to shoot obstacles that appear in their path. These obstacles include a floating woman's head, an eye firing "beams" at the player, and obstacle boxes. Failing to shoot these obstacles results in a quarter-half of their health, with more obstacles spawning as the player progresses. At the end, the coaster leads to Maamokeznefg.html.

Maamokeznefg.html

In Maamokeznefg.html, The player finds themselves in a room showcasing two displayed paintings. Clicking on the painting that portrays a red monster made entirely of eyes (named Eyedaddy) redirects the player to Emyeeddaamday.html. On the other hand, selecting the painting featuring Ichimatsuko guides the player to Pdaieolyaam.html.

  • Pdaieolyaam.html leads to a hallway. If players attempt to approach the door by clicking on it, a mysterious figure (named Kagoboshi) will appear, and the surroundings turn into static. Afterward, a slideshow of screamers appears (named "Rush" in the game).
  • In Emyeeddaamday.html, players encounter the red monster dancing, apparently guarding a door within a steel room. Clicking on Eyedaddy triggers a textbox, where he utters, 「新たな力が欲しければ我を倒してみせよ」, roughly translating to "If you desire new power, demonstrate your strength by defeating me." This part transitions into another game of Jan Ken Pon, where players engage in a battle against Eyedaddy. Emerging victorious causes the monster to disappear, and clicking the door leads to its vanishing as well, revealing the Magic Sword. Upon closing the Magic Sword's description, the player is suddenly confronted with the jump scare of a zombified woman's head (referred to as Security), which can be eliminated by the player's sword through clicking. Following this encounter, a teleporter appears and redirects to Maamolqgep2sp.html. Maamolqgep2sp.html leads to the same hallway as Pdaieolyaam.html. However, this time, the player has obtained a Magic Sword, which they can use to defeat Kageboshi when she appears. This allows them to progress to the next page, I4it3sum27ae.html. At this point, the player will encounter various stacks of Ichimatsukos in another game resembling Whack-A-Mole. The objective is to eliminate the dolls that appear on the screen, including those that pop up randomly, and the player must reach a count of 10 Ichimatsukos. Failing to do so results in the player being 'killed' by one of Ichimatsuko's and redirected back to Lomando.com#Main.html. However, if the player succeeds, they will progress to the next level, accessible at S2st66usam7obe.html.
Ichimatsuko's bossfight after finishing the Whack-A-Mole game.

The next page continues the part from the previous one. Initially, it features an image of a shaking Ichimatsuko against a black background. Clicking on it returns players to the stack of dolls from the previous page. This time, a scene plays out as two Ichimatsukos merge into a larger one, leading to a boss battle. During this encounter, players confront the enlarged Ichimatsuko, which moves along the edges of the screen. A heart icon appears, providing healing when hovered over, seemingly tracking the doll's movement. Players can inflict damage on Ichimatsuko by clicking. At various points during the game, Pieyama MK-2 makes appearances, preventing the player's progress. Clicking on it shatters it like glass, allowing players to continue. Failing to defeat Ichimatsuko in time leads to another slideshow of screamers. Alternatively, successfully defeating Ichimatsuko causes her to shatter and explode. The game then transitions to a white screen, redirecting players to Maamomj3upftsk.html.

Pieyama God bossfight
The final obstacle of the game is to confront the main antagonist Pieyama God. To weaken this main antagonist, they must click on one of three menacing Guardi-eyes floating around the screen.

After advancing from Maamomj3upftsk.html, it returns to the same room as Maamolqgep2sp.html. The only interactive element on this page is the door, leading to a unique boss battle against the game's main antagonist Pieyama God. Players need to defeat three floating dark purple eyes (referred to in the game as Guardi-eyes) to weaken and damage the Pieyama God. After taking down all the Guardi-eyes, the Pieyama God lowers its head, revealing a weak point that players can target precisely with the Magic Sword. failing to defeat the Guardi-eyes quickly triggers three different attacks; one of these attacks, in particular, is the Forced warp, which requires players to rapidly click a button that appears before a timer runs out. Failing to do so redirects them to Main.html. Notably, every time players hit a Guardi-eye or the exposed weak point of the Pieyama God, they gradually build up a special skill called "SKILL." Using this skill allows players to unleash a powerful move called the "Magic Sword slash", which eliminates any remaining Guardi-eyes and causes about 60 damage to the exposed weak point of the Pieyama God. After successfully defeating the Pieyama God, a path to the game's end becomes available. By clicking on the door at the end of this path, players are taken to Twinklegallery.html, where they are taken to a passcode containing a slider, two eyes that alternate colors when clicked, and numbers as Japanese characters from Ujinoma.html.

Second mask

A grey woman with a wide mouth (named Konkon-san)[20] is shown banging at high speed on the player's screen, mouth open but with no scream. Unlike the other masks, the player is not redirected to a new page.

Utsuru.html (Third mask)

Utsuru.html[21] displays a dimly lit room in a livestream format. A floating head named Nui Kuchi appears in front of the camera, moving around in a circle. She is said to have appeared at midnight and vanished after 5:00 AM.[22]

Ydad.html (Fourth mask)

Ydad.html is a branching page that displays gray-colored "Babies" (also known as Cursed Baby) continuously flipping at a rapid rate, seemingly cutting between two frames per second. These visuals are set against a flashing background alternating between red, blue, green, and yellow. In the foreground, three doors are displayed, each leading to different outcomes:

  • Left door: Clicking the left door redirects the player to Aguodiernihs.html,[23] presenting a fake YouTube video titled "Horror psychic image captured by the camera." Within this video interface, the player is restricted from interacting with the "Share" and "Watch Later" buttons, leaving the sole option of clicking the YouTube play button. Upon doing so, a 20-second video of a train is displayed, featuring an appearance by J-ker after 3 seconds. Subsequently, J-ker attempts to break through the screen, successfully doing so as the video concludes at 7 seconds, resulting in a screamer.
  • Middle Door: Selecting the middle door leads the player to a jumpscare featuring Cursed Baby and the page turns black.
  • Right door: On this page, a "gallery" door is seen at the end of a hallway in the line of bookcases. It makes the viewer think as if they have reached the end of the game. The door is clickable and the player can move by clicking on it. However, a trap is triggered as the floor gives way, causing the player to plummet into a spike pit.

Oiaaeptoiympe.html (Fifth mask)

An image of the clown-themed entrance in Oiaaeptoiympe.html.

Oiaaeptoiympe.html[24] features an entrance designed with a clown wearing a cape and fedora is featured. To progress, the player interacts with the left keypad and enters the correct code (→←↓↓↑). Entering an incorrect code or clicking the cape without entering the code prompts a return; clicking it five times triggers Dorodoro to appear. Upon entering the correct code, illuminated arrows and a blue top section appear, rendering the keypad unresponsive. Clicking the cape opens the entrance to Pieyama.html.

Pieyama.html presents a small white dot and upon clicking it, a Google Chrome window appears, featuring a red background and black text. Attempting to close this window by exiting makes the same Chrome tab reappear with different text (in a similar fashion to that of Red Room creepypasta). This cycle repeats four times, culminating in the sudden appearance of Pieyama Pie-Man, who appears along with the traditional Lomando scream.

The game then transitions into a Jan Ken Pon fight with Pieyama Pie-Man. Both the player and Pieyama Pie-Man start with 100 HP and have access to three attacks, each inflicting 20 damage. Should both parties choose the same attack, a pair of eyes named Aikokun appears, dealing 20 damage to both Pieyama Pie-Man and the player. A victorious outcome for the player leads to the disappearance of Pieyama Pie-Man, unveiling a door behind him. Clicking this door triggers a screamer from Yukie, followed by a piece of paper displaying a code for use in Hokora1.html.

Curse.html (Sixth mask)

A TV screen with static as seen in Curse.html.

Curse.html presents a black background featuring a TV screen displaying static. Interacting with the TV triggers Purapura's alert screen, accompanied by a loud beeping sound. The alert screen contains her sprite and inverted Japanese text.[25] Clicking on Purapura's face changes where repeated clicks progressively distort her image. The distortion transforms the image from its normal color palette to monochromatic and eventually to red, representing the most distorted state. Upon reaching 20 clicks, players are redirected to a black screen. Here, an unidentified entity engages with the player in Japanese dialogue.[26]

Subsequently, a series of Google Chrome windows fill up the screen, repeatedly displaying the phrase "タスケテ・・・" (translating to "Help..."). Amid this scene, Borei emerges from the text boxes, reaching her hands towards the player. The player is then redirected to that fake Topd.html.

Chaos.html

File:Chaos.png
A screenshot of Chaos.html and links (in the form of heart, bacteria and winking eyes) to other pages.

The page presents four Google Chrome windows against a background that pulsates like flesh. These windows feature images of a beating heart, a swirling newspaper,[27] animated bacteria, and two blue-tinted winking eyes (named Mitsumeru-me). These windows move randomly across the screen, except for the winking eye. Interestingly, these windows depict Eris as the profile account, website icon, and bookmark. The web addresses consistently repeat the word "chaos."

Heartbeat window

This page presents a narrow hallway containing four hidden areas at the bottom, a door at the hallway's end, and four concealed panels from each wall. Clicking the door without solving the puzzles in the hidden areas results in a game over as the player gets sliced by a character named Nata Onna. To advance, players must solve the puzzles found on this page.

Behind the two hidden panels on the left wall, there is a keypad and half of a map, while the panels on the right wall contain the other half of the map and a red button. Clicking the red button yields no effect if done before entering the code on the keypad. The map pieces reveal the order in which the player should click the bottom areas, each displaying gray feet with letters B, D, and A. Following the map's order results in the sequence "DBDA." Inputting this code into the keypad causes the top part to light up and turn cyan. A cutscene plays as players view Nata Onna's corpse fall from spikes.

Proceeding through the door after this cutscene, players enter the next room, and her weapon named the "Nata" can be found on the floor. However, attempting further progression triggers the spike "machine" to kill the player. To solve the page completely, players must complete the puzzles and press the red button found in one of the panels. This deactivates the spike machine, allowing players to access the next room and click the door, redirecting them to Awamsohniptosour.html.

Awamsohniptosour.html
A screenshot of the room in Awamsohniptosour.html.
A close-up view of the Clown Theater ticket.

The subsequent page contains two Japanese-style rooms with four doors, of which only the two at the front are clickable. A ticket on the floor reveals a dusty ticket with the code for clown theater pages (Totptbpuiouiss.html or Oiaaeptoiympe.html), along with images of the pages Elizabeth.html and Tokonoma.html, where the clown theater pages are accessible. Clicking the two fusuma doors at the front opens identical versions of the room. Clicking them again leads to the appearance of Dai kuchisake-on'na, who attempts to harm the player. She can be eliminated with the player's weapon by clicking on her.

After defeating her, the two fusuma doors open to reveal a preview of Ningyounoma.html. Clicking on it redirects to Ningyounoma.html, featuring Nihonningyou dolls in a minigame. The minigame is similar to that of Whack-a-Mole. The objective is to eliminate fifteen Nihonningyou within 30 seconds using the Nata obtained from the first page. Failing to eliminate enough Nihonningyou results in a game over, with the middle doll speaking "ザンネンデシタ…" before flying toward the screen with a laugh.

Successfully defeating enough dolls leads to Gallery.html, a fake gallery. Clicking on any of the characters or other clickable areas may reveal a strange humanoid creature known as Meezu. Clicking Meezu results in a piece of her torso falling off, revealing a code pad. Clicking the code pad redirects the player to Box.html, where a code slider can be accessed. The correct code is obtained from Paradisky.html, revealing another code, 4527, which is used in Gate.html.

Swirling newspaper

The swirling newspaper leads to Nikki.html, which features an eleven-note suicide diary authored by the website's owner. These notes are presented as clickable links, hyperlinked with dates corresponding to the events described. If the player clicks on the last diary, Mandoreiku appears with a loud scream. The old version is written from the perspective of Fancy Island's owner.

Bacteria

The bacteria leads to a profile of a pale woman named Kanrinin no Yorishiro (where the Fancy Island's owner spirit seems to live), which was created on April 4th, 2010. Interestingly, this date aligns with the day of the manager's suicide. This profile is defined by the text "Unknown," presented in both Japanese and English, set against a background featuring white hands. Upon clicking the profile picture, users are redirected to a GIF. This GIF portrays several women dressed in wardrobes shaking their necks (Shinitai-onna), appearing and disappearing at random in a static background, along with a text that reads "死にたい," which translates to "I want to die."

Mitsumeru-me eyes

Yukan no Shonen's puzzle, Mituqituqne.html, and redirection to Tobiras.html
A fake YouTube embed interface as seen in Nyanyanyanyahn.html

Clicking on the blue eye redirects to Eye.html. This page contains mysterious red text in multiple languages (Dutch, Japanese romaji, Finnish, and French) without translations. It includes two women with their intestines exposed (named Betty) on the sides as decorations and a rapidly blinking red eye below the text. Clicking the eye takes the user to Nyanyanyanyahn.html, which features a YouTube video interface with fake buttons and a play icon resembling YouTube's. When attempting to play the video, Kuroageha flies through the video box, creating a hole. Clicking the hole leads to Iamonnenuohs.html, featuring a video with Yukan no Shonen instructing users to arrange ten hiragana characters into a sentence while he dances to the beat. Red hiragana symbols periodically appear with his head closely behind.

The puzzle progressively speeds up, displaying five Hiragana characters consecutively. Afterward, users must decipher a code with a hint on the page revealing four out of the ten hiragana characters. To proceed, users should enter the hiragana character "あなたのうしろにいる" (translating to "I'm behind you") in the bar below the video and click "answer." This answer reveals a door. Clicking the door triggers Dorodoro's screamer, but it does not result in the player's death. Instead, it leads to another clickable door for progression to Onomureiminem.html. On this page, users will find thirteen rotating eyes in front of what appears to be barnacles, with a door in the center. Clicking on an eye pops it, but clicking the door before popping all the eyes results in a Futeki na Emi no Onna screamer. However, popping all the eyes reveals a hidden door behind it. Clicking it redirects users to Mituqituqne.html.

After successfully clearing the previous stage, the player finds themselves on a page resembling the previous one. This time, they encounter eight greenish-deformed heads known as Puchipuchi on a gray background. To progress, the player must act swiftly and click on the Puchipuchis to make them explode. Every five seconds, a deep voice utters "助けて" ("Help" in English), and the Puchipuchis will respawn. The player must eliminate them promptly, as they continue to reappear every five seconds. Once all the Puchipuchis are successfully destroyed, a door appears. Clicking on this door leads to Priclu.html, where two distorted faces with long black hair, large teeth, and twisted noses, named Oshirois, are set against a rainbow background, with a door between them. Clicking the door for the first time causes a head to fall down the screen silently (similar to that one scene in The House). A second click on the door directs the player to Tobiras.html.

Tobiras.html features a door against a fast-paced slideshow of images. The door is intended to lead the player to Tokonoma.html; however, if they are not lucky enough, they will be redirected to one of three screamers.

In this section, the player will encounter a door set against a background featuring rapid images. The player's objective is to click on this door, which will transport them to Tokonoma.html, as the only way to progress in the game. However, clicking the door may trigger random events, including an image of Purapura with an extremely loud beeping noise (which does not lead to anywhere), a GIF of Konkon-san knocking, and apart from the last diary on Nikki.html revealing Mandoreiku with a startling scream.

Tokonoma.html
The Japanese bedroom as seen in Tokonoma.html

Tokonoma.html is a page resembling a Japanese Tokonoma bedroom. It has unique interactions based on lighting conditions:

  • With the lights on:
  • Decorative shelves and drawers are present but non-interactive.
  • Activate the light switch to change the page's appearance to a grainy, white background, and Kageboshi makes an entrance. To avoid Kageboshi's attack, rapidly click the now-blackened switch within 2 seconds. If the player fails, they will be redirected to Topd.html.
  • With the lights off:
  • You'll find a scroll painting of Nihonningyou, which is clickable and leads to Totptbpuiouiss.html.
The fusuma doors can only be clicked when the lights are off, and clicking them will open the doors, guiding them to Gate.html.
  • There's an additional feature in this mode: clicking the left light switch reveals a disembodied head (named Kubi kushi) swinging and eerie laughter, which can be stopped by clicking the switch again. The following links accessed from Tokonoma.html are explained below:

In Gate.html, two grey doors designed with blinking eyes and a code pad are present. Entering the correct code (4527) unlocks the doors, revealing a clickable area leading to Shingallery.html. The next page displays a wall of flesh with crawling centipedes. Hovering the cursor over the door causes the flesh wall to move down. After two hovers, a TV spawns, redirecting to Ngayngujwai.html upon clicking. Hovering over the door a third time prompts a screamer from Abyss, who appears silently. Clicking the door afterward redirects to Tsrheiansguarlelery.html. It displays a piece of paper containing the color code for the door in Puzzledoor.html. Clicking it zooms in, and clicking again makes Abyss appear with a loud laugh.

In Totptbpuiouiss.html, the player is led to a part that closely resembles Oiaaeptoiympe.html, with the key difference being that the door redirects to Pieyama.html instead of Akaitupne63gum.html. Players can reuse the same code on both entrances.

After popping all the red Puchipuchi, the player is confronted by Mother Puchipuchi in the form of Jan Ken Pon fight.

In Akaitupne63gum.html, the player is redirected to a similar page called Mituqituqne.html, where they must pop red Puchipuchi instead of green ones. Popping all the red Puchipuchi before they respawn redirects to Tn89alpnos6iop.html after a door spawns. Tn89alpnos6iop.html resembles the previous page but with a middle door that, when clicked, triggers a screamer from Mother Puchipuchi and confronted with a Jan Ken Pon fight. After each turn, the player takes 5HP damage from poison. Winning reveals a door. Clicking it leads to a pitch-black room with a jumpscare from Yukie, followed by a note displaying half of the eye code used in Hokora1.html, which can be clicked on.

Heven.html

In Heven.html, players encounter a challenging maze with very narrow spaces (similar to that of Jeremy Winterrowd's The Maze). A single misstep, where the cursor touches the black maze walls, changes the background into red and the player is forced to start again. Furthermore, even if the maze is successfully navigated, it culminates in a silent screamer by Namakubi no Onna.

Eden.html

Eden.html leads the player into a room with two doors and a note between them.
A close-up view of the note, suggesting that two doors leads to the same page.

Eden.html presents a pitch-black room featuring two weathered doors and a note. Interacting with the note reveals the text "どっちを選んても行き着く先は一緒" ("The place you can reach from either door is the same"). Clicking on the right door leads to Edeuenatseurre.html, while selecting the left door directs players to Ederkauizraatbsouu.html.

In Ederkauizraatbsouu.html, The player must guide their dot into a very thin maze.

Ederkauizraatbsouu.html challenges players with yet another maze, where precise cursor movement is required to navigate a narrow gray path successfully. A single contact with the black maze walls causes the maze to vanish, leaving only the door visible. Clicking the door post-maze failure results in a screamer from Elusive. Attempting to cheat by clicking the door before the maze fully loads leads to a jumpscare by Eris. However, successfully completing the maze without cheating and clicking the door grants access to the next page Paradisky.html.

In Edeuenatseurre.html, players encounter eight treasure chests. Clicking on an incorrect chest prompts a distorted ghostly woman (named Psychedelic) to approach the player. If the player mistakenly selects the incorrect chests three times, it results in a game over. However, discovering the correct chest rewards the player with the Treasure Key, enabling access through a door to Paradisky.html.

Paradisky.html, the destination from both Ederkauizraatbsouu.html and Edeuenatseurre.html, presents players with two clickable doors, each leading to separate content within the page. The right door displays a skinned corpse Doemon seated within a large cabinet or closet. After a brief second, Ima Socchi jumps over the player with a loud laugh and redirects the player back to the main page. Selecting the left door reveals a close-up view and further interaction redirects to a cabinet containing a piece of paper at the bottom. Clicking on the note reveals the text "2648" written in blood, which the player will need for Box.html.

Events

New Year events

During New Year's festivities, players can engage with an animation featuring Mimi dressed in a traditional yukata. In this setting, Mimi offers to read the player's New Year's fortune in exchange for a donation. After selecting the donation box, Mimi shakes a cup, revealing two possible outcomes: one indicating good fortune and the other signifying bad luck. These fortune results (as well as Mimi's dialogue) include:

  • ("Blessing") - "Nothing bad will happen."
  • 末吉 ("Minimal Blessing") - "Just look forward to the future, and everything will be fine."
  • 小吉 ("Small Blessing") - "This year might be great!"
  • 中吉 ( "Medium Blessing")- "You will feel great this year!"
  • 大吉 ("Large Blessing") - "It will be a great year!"
  • ("Curse") - "Hmmm.. You should be careful when you start something."
  • 大凶 ("Large Curse") - Mimi remains silent

If the player receives good luck (white paper), there are no changes, and they can attempt the fortune again. However, in the case of bad luck (black paper), a slideshow of screamers will appear. In an alternate version of this event, if Yukatan is absent, Mimi will guide the user to drop a coin into the donation box upon encountering a white paper with unique letters. If the user tries this again and receives a black paper, the screen darkens, followed by a slideshow of screamers through Fire.html.

Oshowgatsu2015.html and its more recent counterpart, Oshowgatsu2016.html, are previous versions of the current New Year's page explained above. The former version features Kimono Mimi inside a fortune booth set against a white background. This booth allows users to deposit a coin in exchange for a fortune, and acquiring the "Large Curse" fortune results in an immediate redirection to the Fire.html page. Beneath Mimi's booth, there are banners similar to the old main menu, accompanied by a red and white pattern along with golden ふぁんしーあいらんど text, which, when clicked, redirects users to Main.html. Additional links include one titled "幻想空間 万華鏡" (roughly translating to "fantasy space kaleidoscope") leading to a third-party Rakuten advertisement, and another labeled "通常版トップページに戻す" at the page's bottom, providing a pathway for players to return to Index.html. Alternatively, Oshowgatsu2016.html represents the newest-like change, building upon the foundation laid by its predecessor. In this version, Kimono Mimi is depicted slightly above a fortune box, equipped with a tool for dispensing fortunes upon receiving visitors' coins. As with the earlier version, encountering the "Large Curse" fortune triggers a redirection to the Fire.html page. The background of the page features a red and white pattern overlaid with three kadomatsu, traditional Japanese New Year decorations. Below Mimi's booth, a logo for "Fancy Island" provides a link to Main.html, while another link directs players to Index.html.

Christmas Events

In Christmas 2014, Lomando introduced Merryxmas.html, a webpage featuring Santa Claus in a snowy setting, offering a gift. When users click this gift, a transformed version of the page appears, cloaked in shadow with inverted colors (black and white). This triggers a remix of the Christmas classic, Jingle Bells, with screamers. Following this, the phrase "Merry Christmas" appears, swiftly covered by a depiction of blood, after which the page goes black and redirects to Main.html.

Additionally, there's Xmaschallenge.html, a recent version of the one mentioned above. This version showcases Santa seated at a desk with three presents, each potentially containing one of five prizes personally described and displayed by Santa. On occasion, clicking one of these presents results in Santa turning black, leading to the same segment that remixes Jingle Bells with screamers.

Bonus pages

The close-up view of the books from the bookshelf that redirects to external links.

Al3iboujt28one.html is a bonus page accessible from the old version of Twinklegallery.html. It presents a blue room with a "LIBRARY" labeled door, a puzzle, and a lever. To progress, players must solve the puzzle using the code "4181" and flip the lever, granting access through the door. Beyond the door lies a hallway from Shoko.html, featuring clickable books on the left. Clicking these books leads to various external links, including the manager's Pixiv and YouTube account, Theory.html and the Lomando Fanlab page.

Puzzleandfancy.html is formerly accessible via a link in Aerv5ci4hhi.html. It featured a stone piece that, when clicked, begins a skull slider puzzle. Completing the puzzle triggered the message "CLEAR!!" and played an unlocking sound effect.

Thep6.html could be accessed from the old version of Theory.html and Theorymokuji.html. It displayed an image of a black book titled "Shinitai Riron" along with an explanation. This page was eventually replaced as its content was deemed redundant, covered already in Nikki.html. The book was originally one of the manager's old diaries before its removal in November 2014. The initial version contained an entry from the manager's second journal, "Shinitai Riron," which was later replaced with an archive. Partial note contents were previously shared on Twitter, with the full note and diary resurfacing on November 27th, 2014, the day of the diary's removal.

Toushinfla.html is a page that featured an image of the "creator" positioned atop a tall building, overlooking a street with passing cars. Clicking on the sidewalk resulted in the character jumping off and the page turns black. The page is supposed to connect with the plot of the story.

Extra content page

The artwork from Ujinoma.html

Aerv5ci4hhi.html is featured as the official extra page and ending of the website. This page primarily contains scrapped content that didn't make it to the final version of the game. The following content includes a cassette tape that reveals the complete message from the researcher, artwork related to Ujinoma.html, containing subtle references to various in-game characters, a newspaper from Chaos.html containing a news article that narrates the transformation of the amusement park "Fancy Island" into a haunted theme park inhabited by monstrous entities, an image featuring Yukan no Shonen displays a Hiragana code, hinting at a hidden encounter with Cursed Cat, a collection of images back to the old version of Tt3amn4obonu.html and Maamokeznefg.html, and showcases two images featuring multiple weapons named "Father's Majesty" and "Magic Sword feat. Eyedaddy."

The page underwent significant changes over time. The original version resembled the website's content and could be accessed via the number panel in the old version of Twinklegallery.html. Before December 15, 2020, clicking on the section with Flash works allowed access to several scrapped pages on the website, although these were marked as crossed out and subsequently deleted.

Nekomata encounter

A screenshot of Nekomata's bossfight in the game.

The Nekomata (or "Cursed Cat") encounter in the game is hinted at through a specific extra content page called Aerv5ci4hhi.html. This page features an image of Yukan no Shonen with hiragana characters that players can use on one of the Yukan no Shonen's pages. Accessing this page unlocks a concealed door leading to a secret encounter with Nekomata. Upon entering this encounter, players find themselves in a white room with a door. Clicking on the door plays a cutscene where the player is interrupted by Nekomata after a few seconds. This interruption seamlessly transitions into a Jan Ken Pon fight. Once the player successfully defeats Nekomata, Eris emerges from it, revealing the true identity of Nekoshow. After Nekoshow is freed, he provides the player with the key to the previously locked door as a token of gratitude. Clicking on this door redirects the player to the page Wmnoeohkvsioetac.html, which features videos showcasing Nekoshow and other Lomando characters. Nekomata, by definition, refers to a cat featured in Japanese folklore, yōkai.

The Missing Manager's Fanlab

The Missing Manager's Fanlab's official logo.

The Missing Manager's Fanlab, also known as Fanlab, was a companion site, operating from 2013 to its last update in December 2017. Initially a blog platform, it expanded to include more content, some of which later integrated into Lomando.com during an HTML5 update. Fanlab featured four main sections, such as the Homepage with game updates and magazine references, Kouryaku.html with outdated game walkthroughs, Lsticker.html showcasing LINE sticker sets, and Link.html containing external links and the manager's Twitter page. These sections ceased updates around September 2015 to December 2017, marking Fanlab's inactive status.

Old version of pages

Main.html

A screenshot of 2arcfancymain.html, featuring Mitsumeru Onna in a red background with Japanese characters below reads "ごめんなさい" (I'm sorry).
  • 2arcfancymain.html was a component of the now-removed "arc" series, representing an early version of Main.html. Upon entering 2arcfancymain.html, players encountered Mitsumeru Onna in a red background. Four black squares were displayed:
  • First Square: Redirected to 3arcsemaru.html, featuring a jumpscare.
  • Upon accessing the webpage, users are greeted with an animation featuring Mitsumeru Onna. The animation consists of her approaching the screen and subsequently displaying a close-up accompanied by a giggle. Following this, users are automatically redirected to a page titled 1arcfancytop.html. The redirected page replicates the original top page made with Adobe Flash and had first version of Mimi (named "Generation 1 Mimi") displayed on the current top page. If users click on the image of Generation 1 Mimi or the promotional banner, they will be redirected back to the main page.
  • Second Square: This square led users to 4arconinoma.html, where players encountered a question posed by the character Oni no me. In this scenario, players were presented with the question "うしろのしょうめんだあれ?" (meaning "What's that behind you?" in English) and required to input their response into a designated question box. A correct password, "あかいにんぎょう," found in 7arcfusmanoma.html unlocked a door that redirected players to 8arcningyonoma.html.
  • On the following page, players engage in a gameplay sequence requiring them to slice all of the Ningyounoma dolls. This gameplay serves as an earlier version of Ningyounoma.html. Upon successfully completing this task, players are directed to the gallery page 9arcgallery.html, marking the official ending of the older version of the game.
  • Third Square: Players were taken to 5arcyajirushihidari.html, an early version of Heven.html.
  • In this version of Heven.html, Elusive does not appear, and clicking on the door triggered the appearance of a disembodied head known as Namakubi no Onna on the screen.
  • Fourth Square: This square redirected users to 6arcyajirushimigi.html, an early version of Eden.html.
  • Similar to Heven.html, this version led players to the next page upon clicking the door. The next page shared similarities with Paradisky.html with the code from the left door used as an answer to Oni no me's question in 4arconinoma.html.

Unused/Deleted versions

These are versions that were replaced by newer ones, have never been used, or were deleted.

  • The old Aguodiernihs.html features a red background and a fake old YouTube player with a 26-second video. Notably, the video mimics full-screen, liking, disliking, or pause options, but retains audio control. The video begins with a purple swirl and Japanese text, transitioning to an inverted-color preview. It then counts down, revealing a train scene covered in blood with the presence of the character J-ker. A replay displays the same train scene, and after a few seconds, J-ker approaches the player's screen, culminating in a close-up screamer and redirects to Topd.html.
  • Tobiras.html included an older version, Tobira.html, much like its modern counterpart. Both had a central door amid a background displaying rapidly changing Japanese images, inducing seizures when clicked. However, key differences existed. The older version had dynamic background colors, absent in the newer one. Between the doors, ever-changing illustrations depicted suicide, medical tools, objects, and faces in the old version, absent in the new. Symbols like an eye, knife, bee, cross, and more were on the left side of the older version. The right side featured drawings including a moon, brain, mask, and other elements. Tobira.html led to various pages, except Curse.html and Tokonoma.html which were merged into the newer page. The "Purapura" option was removed in this version.

Trivia

  • As of editing, this is currently the longest puzzle game-related page on this wiki, having with 61244 bytes as of the current revision.
  • This article was nominated in the featured article on Screamer Wiki in late March 2020.
  • The manager uses Adobe Photoshop to create illustrations for the website.
