Moid was a shock site registered on October 7th, 2004.
| “ | I'M SHOOTING LASERS! | ” |
| The Moid site in 2006. | ||

Originally, it was used as a file host according to Encyclopedia Dramatica for uploading shock content and "bestiality porn". It hosted notorious shock content such as Goatse, Lemon Party, Pillowfight, Goatse Girl, 2 Kids 1 Sandbox, and 2 Girls 1 Cup. However, after a while, it apparently began to host other categories of media, as well as being used as a new imageboard catered towards pedophiles. Users of other imageboards such as 4chan had also frequented Moid.
The file host was apparently botted in which several images of the Internet meme Shoop Da Whoop were uploaded. In 2006, a PunBB forum would be hosted, with the default user's profile picture being a pornographic drawing of a Badger. The file host would be shutdown in early 2009, presumably due to local authorities reporting the site three times for the distribution of child sexual abuse material[1]. The forum would continue operating before Moid was fully taken down on July 6th, 2010, with a picture of the meme 4chan Party Van featured, leading to its users speculating that the site's owner may have been arrested. The domain was later put on sale by the original owner, although it has been left unacquired since.
Creator
The creator of Moid was believed to be Rickard Andersson, whose name was credited in the bottom-left corner of the Moid forums alongside a date indicating the site had been active since at least 2002. Aside from this, little is known about his early background.[2]
In 2025, Andersson was identified as the perpetrator of the Örebro school shooting, which resulted in 11 deaths and 12 injuries before he died by suicide from a self-inflicted shotgun wound.
Anderrson was born in Örebro, Sweden on August 10, 1989. He was 35-years-old at the time of shooting. In his early life, he was described by those closest to him as "happy and having many friends." However, by the seventh grade (around the time Moid was first established in 2002) he grew increasingly reclusive and refused to attend school. Several sources, (including Wikipedia), note that his seventh-grade year marked a major turning point in his life. In ninth grade, he dropped out and was homeschooled. In later years, he struggled academically and sometimes reported as either dropping out or graduating with incomplete grades. He eventually began receiving disability checks and remained unemployed.[3]
Rickard Anderrson was also suspected of a cold case that occurred in Brickeberg, Örebro, which claimed the life of a two-year-old boy. The incident was linked to a string of fires that occurred between 2004 and 2005. During this period, Anderrson was homeschooled and living in his hometown at the time of the fires, which raised suspicions that he was also linked to another crime.[4]
