A Featured Article is the highest quality article on Screamer Wiki that meets a set of criteria to ensure that it is informative, accurate, and engaging for readers. To become featured, the article must be well-written, comprehensive, accurate, and verifiable, with appropriate multimedia elements. It should also be polished and free of significant issues or areas for improvement. Featured articles provide readers with high-quality and engaging information, and they are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the wiki community.

Every month, the administrators will get to choose and review the accuracy, neutrality, completeness, and magnificence that has been put inside the Article, when the article will get featured, it's going to present a limited trophy — a nice trophy — on the top of the Article signifies that the article is featured. It's going to get removed as the brand new article will get featured.

To create or achieve a featured article, the article should meet the following 9 criteria:

Criteria

Well-written and concise in writing

For an article to be featured on Screamer Wiki, it must meet the criterion of being well-written and engaging. This means that the article should be easy to read and understand, and should flow logically from one section to the next. It should be written in clear and concise language, using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The article should also be well-organized, with a clear structure and headings that guide the reader through the content. The introduction should provide an engaging overview of the topic, and the body of the article should be broken up into logical sections that cover all relevant aspects of the topic. Each section should have a clear focus and be written in a concise and informative manner.

Actually enough information to be explained for the topic and be of reasonable length

Featured Articles should have comprehensive coverage of the topic. This means that it should contain all the necessary information without being too short or too long. The article should be appropriate in length and should provide a complete understanding of the topic, without containing any unnecessary details. The information presented should be clear, concise, and easy to read, with a logical flow of ideas. The writer should ensure that the article is well-organized and covers all relevant aspects of the topic, while avoiding any irrelevant or unrelated content. In order to ensure that the article is of reasonable length, the writer should focus on the important aspects of the topic and avoid unnecessary details. The article should be balanced in terms of depth of coverage and length.

Must be relevant as a topic

A featured article must be relevant to the readers and provide valuable information. The topic should be of interest to a wide range of readers and not covered extensively elsewhere on the website or the internet. The relevance of an article is evaluated based on its context, and it should be important enough to the readership that it remains relevant for a reasonable period of time. For example, a current event that is receiving a lot of media attention may be relevant in the short term, but may become less relevant as time passes. The article should provide information that is not readily available elsewhere and should be well-written and informative.

Provides a summary of the screamer in the lead

It is important to have a concise and clear summary of the main points and topics covered in the article. This summary should be placed at the beginning of the article, usually in the introduction or lead section, and should give the reader a brief overview of the entire content of the article. The summary should be comprehensive enough to provide readers with a good idea of what the article is about, but not too detailed that it becomes overwhelming or redundant with the rest of the article. It should be written in a way that is easily understandable and accessible to all readers, regardless of their level of expertise in the subject matter. The summary should also be engaging and interesting, with a hook or attention-grabbing statement that entices readers to continue reading the rest of the article. A clear and informative summary is crucial for a featured article as it helps readers quickly assess whether the article is relevant to their needs and interests, and it also provides a roadmap for the article, allowing readers to navigate the content and better understand its structure and organization.

Follows the Manual of Style guide

The Manual of Style is a crucial component for any featured article. It's a set of guidelines that provide writers with a clear framework for formatting and organizing articles on the wiki. These guidelines ensure that articles are written in a consistent and clear manner, making them easy to read and understand for all readers. The Manual of Style is particularly important for articles about screamers and shock sites, where clarity and professionalism are essential. When writing an article, it's important to follow the guidelines laid out in the Manual of Style to ensure that the article meets the high standards of quality expected of a featured article. By adhering to these guidelines, writers can ensure that their articles are informative, engaging, and accessible to all readers.

Not be tagged with any sort of improvement tags

An article must not contain any tags or templates indicating that it requires improvement or attention in specific areas. These tags can include "{{cleanup}}", "{{stub}}", or ""{{citation needed}}"". A featured article should be reviewed and edited extensively to ensure that it is a polished and high-quality piece of content that meets the highest standards of accuracy and completeness. All information should be properly cited and sources appropriately attributed. The absence of improvement tags is important because it demonstrates that the article has been thoroughly reviewed and edited for accuracy, clarity, and completeness. Editors should verify that all information is accurate and supported by reliable sources, as well as adhere to relevant style guides and formatting standards, such as the Manual of Style or the citation style guide. By doing so, editors can ensure that the article is a polished and credible piece of content that meets the standards of a featured article.

Use of multimedia

Featured articles on our wiki must not only be informative and well-written but also engaging and visually appealing. The use of multimedia, including images, videos, and audio recordings, is an essential criterion for creating a featured article. Adding multimedia to an article not only supplements the text but also helps readers better understand the topic. Images, for example, should be high-quality and relevant to the topic and the text they are reading, while videos and audio recordings should be relevant, high-quality, and appropriately cited. Additionally, the multimedia should be seamlessly integrated into the article without distracting from the content or making it difficult to navigate. In essence, multimedia elements should add value to the reader's experience and enhance their understanding of the topic, making the article both informative and enjoyable to read. The use of multimedia must be of reasonable amount.

They require verifiability

Verifiability is a key criterion for featured articles on Screamer Wiki, which requires that all statements and information presented in the article should be supported by various sources. This principle requires that all information presented in the article is backed up by reliable sources. This helps to ensure that the content is factual, accurate, and trustworthy, and avoids the inclusion of personal opinions or original research. To meet this criterion, featured articles should use appropriate citation formats and provide sufficient detail to enable readers to locate the original sources. By fulfilling the verifiability requirement, featured articles uphold the credibility of Screamer Wiki as a reliable and dependable source of information. However, it should be noted that citation is not always necessary for information that is widely accepted as true and factual.

Comprehensive coverage

An article must provide a detailed and in-depth overview of the topic, covering all significant aspects and subtopics. The article should not only present the most important and relevant information, but also provide context and background information that helps readers understand the topic in a broader context. By providing a comprehensive overview, featured articles help readers develop a deeper understanding of the topic and its relevance. To meet the comprehensive coverage criterion, featured articles must provide a complete overview of the topic, including its history, background, and major developments. Additionally, the article should cover related topics and subtopics, as well as any controversies, debates, or differing perspectives related to the topic. This helps readers to develop a more nuanced understanding of the topic, and also allows them to explore related topics and issues. Featured articles should also provide a balanced and neutral perspective, presenting all significant viewpoints and avoiding bias or advocacy. This means that the article should not take sides or promote a particular agenda or point of view, but should instead provide objective and factual information. By presenting a balanced and neutral perspective, featured articles help readers to develop their own informed opinions about the topic.
