"So, my apologies for all of those who care about me. But it must to be like that, I can't take anymore what I'm feeling. The only problem is that I would be "without restaurant". But... I can't, can't take this, I can't. So let's go now. Using this weapon."
Mateus' message before picking the shotgun on the livestream

Alucinante (translated: Hallucinating) is a shock video of a young man shooting himself on live-stream with a Over Under Shotgun. The video depicts an 18-year-old Brazilian YouTube user Mateus José Santos Cordeiro (October 11, 2006 - April 30, 2025), known online as Matbit2006, doing a pronunciation and pointing a shotgun at his head and blowing his brains out.

The livestream was recorded by a controversial member on the YTPBR (Portuguese-language Brazilian YTPs) community called SmittyWerben. This can be said, because the footage was sent (in English) to watchpeopledie.tv, and other gore websites, and the uploader lied to people that the person on the suicide livestream was Pedroso5505, another member in the community that SmittyWerben hated.[1]

Content

The video shows the YouTuber taking his own life during a live broadcast on his channel. During the live stream, he shared words that suggested intense emotional suffering. He apologized and said he “couldn't take it anymore” moments before committing the act. A 12-gauge over under shotgun was used. The weapon failed on the first trigger pull, but the YouTuber insisted and the second shot was deadly. After falling on the floor, sounds of blood spilling can be heard.

Minutes later, a person who appeared to be family member opened his room's door, saw him on the floor not thinking he was dead, just saying he was "lying on the floor". His father then entered and became desperate because his son was dead, telling this to everybody on his family. His family members, not shown, started crying.

Despite the extremely graphic content, the video, surprisingly enough, has no swearing.

Background

Matbit2006 had intentions to become a gaming YouTuber, with uploads of gameplay videos of Super Mario 64 and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.[2] On his bedroom, he had plushies of Undertale and Five Nights at Freddy's characters.

His Posts tab, however, showed self-hatred and demonstrations of depression.[3] It didn't help also that the same was co-working, with SmittyWerben himself, on a controversial Friday Night Funkin mod called Live Suicidin' Funkin, which features suicide videos and other gore/snuff content.

These posts and works culminated to the controversial livestream.

Spread

The moment his suicide went public led to a lot of people paying respects to him.[4] The demonstrations of love and "rest in peace" messages can be seen on his YouTube content and his Wikitubia page.[5] Even on gore websites like MegaBizarro and Atrocidades18, various comments admitted that no shocking video was "more depressing and saddening" than Matbit2006's livestream. The amount of subscribers on his channel considerably boosted after the incident.

The incident was so shocking and offensive that the GitLab-hosted YTPBR Wiki's owner decided to not create a page of SmittyWerben, alongside other YTPers considered "persona non grata". It is not known if SmittyWerben did this for revenge against a ban from the Discord server of this YTP Tennis project, or he was banned after the incident.

Regarding about the person which the recorder lied about being the victim of suicide, Pedroso5505 "unlied" about the situation, claiming to be fine and alive. The "unlying" post was made after the livestream.[6] Despite the aftermath, SmittyWerben was still credited for making the Round 4 of said YTP Tennis project, and was even reuploaded by Pedroso5505 himself.
