Notability

This is what most articles will follow. Articles are allowed to be in the wiki if they follow the criteria. Articles that do not follow these criteria will not last much any longer here, so consider you should follow all of them at least. Please note that everyone should do this on Sandbox for practicing or when creating an article.

General

1. Articles must have enough information to have a full page to be added here. Make sure that you've described the screamer in the most detailed way possible. If they don't have enough content, it should be merged into smaller articles or be drafted.
2. Make sure that these rules (on what you should do first) are in the correct order:

1. Begin with the name of the screamer/shock site and say what type it is when it was created, and who is the creator. (e.g: "" The Maze "was a screamer flash game created by Jeremy Winterrowd.) 
2. Start adding links to other pages. This will engage the reader even further. Just a simple link can make a visitor come back for more!
3. If you're gonna add a link to the screamer, make it unclickable! The simple step to doing this is removing the "https://" part of the URL. 
4. Adding pictures/galleries to your article is fine too.
5. Citing sources is not often used in many articles, but it is necessary when it comes to evidence or from where you took the block of information. Citing sources avoids plagiarism (unless the article is just a copy and pasted information from another source), and it gives credit to the author(s) from whom you took it.
6. Add an Infobox, a table of information about your subject. It has been used in most informative articles. This should be at the top of the source code of your article when you are doing so.
7. Before you are ready to publish the article, make sure that you check your page to see if there are any broken links or grammatical errors. 
8. Once you've finished writing and published the article, you'll need to learn how to properly categorize the page. For example, K-fee is a commercial and so this would belong to Category:Commercial. To learn how to do so, scroll down.
9. Use MediaWiki links (for example [[wikipedia:Example of an article|Example of an article]]) instead of templates (for example {{Wikipedia|Example of an article}}) because they are causing baiting.

1. Articles must point directly to screamers/shock sites in any way.
2. If the article is about a lost screamer, make sure that there's proof that it exists in that time. If the subject that obviously doesn't even exist will not be permitted to be here.
3. Use bold text once on the name of the screamer/shock site. To make a bold text, enclose the text with '''.
4. Makers are only allowed if they are closely related to or well-known for screamers/shock sites. (e.g Jeremy Winterrowd is a former DJ and a game programmer. He is well-known for his flash game, The Maze.)
5. Articles should have proper grammar.

Writing

Formatting page layout

The page should start with a few sentences about the screamer along with an infobox. Then, if necessary, you may break the article up into different sections. At the end of the page, there should be a "Links" section with a screamer note and an unclickable link.

Links are one of the things in wiki articles that leads to another page. You should start linking to as many articles as possible, created or not, so that there's more than to read. Because linking improves navigation on our wiki, many articles are visited by clicking the links on the page. If the link leads to a non-existent page, the user will have a chance to create and write the page, thus helping the wiki to expand more. Duplicate links, which usually appear in tables, blocks of text, infoboxes, and more, are allowed. Links can be done by enclosing the text with two brackets (e.g: [[Lemon Party]]).

A piped link is also another form of links, where it displays text that is different from the title of the page to which the links. For example, the text [[K-fee commercial|K-fee]] will display as K-fee, but would lead to K-fee commercial. This could help with redundancy for leading to redirects if necessary.

The animation then cuts into another frame of a stickman standing in a city lined up with buildings, with another Chinese text appearing from above. Formatting dates

The correct date format is "November 11th, 2013", not "11th November 2013". However, there is an issue where most countries abbreviate dates differently. Some Asian countries' formats are year/month/day, while the US formats their dates as month/day/year. The problem is that it could represent any of the three different dates. To avoid this problem, it's better to be written in "MM DD, YYYY" (e.g "September 14, 2012") rather than "DD MM, YYYY" (e.g "14 September, 2012") as the US's date formats are often used by many. You can use Ordinal numbers as they were allowed to be used in dates. If you need a numeric date for a table, the date should be in the ISO 8601 format YYYY-MM-DD.

Precise time, whether specific or unspecific, should be formatted in 24-hour clock time. Just make sure to use the "at" preposition to refer to a precise time. For example, the store closed at 10:30pm.

Here's a few guidelines on formatting dates:

1. Any dates can be specific. But two prepositions (in and on) to refer these dates should be correct.

1. In should be used to refer unspecific dates (e.g. In 2010) and On is used to refer specific dates (e.g. On June 30th, 2017)

1. Ordinal numbers are allowed and needed in dates.
2. When you're adding the specific date of the screamer/shock site, make sure it is in UTC time in the United States.

You can use the screenshot as a showcase to a screamer, or any images that closely relates to, and more. Any screenshots that does not relate to the subject are not allowed. But make sure that you must upload the file before you can use the image first. Images are also used to make the article look nice, and that you had to include informative captions when doing so. If you're gonna add a screenshot to an article, make sure the screenshot is in high quality, in case the readers would look at it clean.

Galleries are a set of pictures that you should use at the bottom, or at the end of the sentence. This could help if you tried to overuse too many pictures, whereas a few picture is enough to be added to the article.

Galleries and images on the article should fit these following guidelines:

• Images should showcase as an attribute of the article's topic.
  • Images can be a showcase, but it should be shown in a humorous behavior.
  • Images in Infoboxes should have captions, unless it's a logo.
  • Every image or images in gallery needs informative captions about itself, so readers would know what it is.
• When it comes to picture's quality, it is preferable to use .png images rather than .jpg's because it doesn't lose quality or look compressed like .jpg does. You can convert images into .png from this website here.

SW:TITLE

Article title is usually the name of the person, screamer/shock site or the host. It appears as a large heading at the top of the subject, as articles have headlines used as titles. Articles should be in singular form.

The article title's should follow these guidelines:

• If the article is about a screamer that has the same name, and is created by a different maker. Then the article name would be added with the creator's name enclosed with brackets. (e.g: What's Wrong With This Picture? (Weasel Circus version)) If there were too many variants with the name, there should be a disambiguation page for it.
• If the article is about the topic that has no name, there should be a short description for it.
• The article's title should be the original name as the subject.
• If there's an known alias (or unofficial known nicknames) of the subject, please add a redirect to it. For example, Scary Maze Game should be redirected to The Maze as the name is unofficial.
• It's unnecessarily to use {{DISPLAYTITLE}} to change the title. This template is not needed anyway.
