2016 was a screamer video uploaded to YouTube by a user named PawPatrol&Jack'sBigMusicShowFanatic 2004 (a rumored impersonation of another user, now known as AndrewTheNicktoons HubFan2004). It is unknown exactly when the video was uploaded, but it is currently known to be sometime by around Late January 2017. The creator who made the video has been terminated by around February 28th, 2018, due to the account receiving multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement regarding the account's uploaded content. Like Super Mario 64 Big Star Secret, this screamer has not been easy to find, but footage from the video is available online as a component of another video.

Content

The video is currently known to contain eight screamer videos created in 2016 running simultaneously as semi-transparent layers, while there could have been more in there based on observations. They are, from back to front:

• Coffee Break - Mother 3 by SiIvaGunner.
• Puzzle Room - Kirby: Planet Robobot by Le Ruse Bird.
• FOLLOW THE RED DOT ! SCARY HYPNOSIS GAME ! by CrazyMarc666.
• Scary pop up that will make you jump and cry. World BEST SCREAMER !, also by CrazyMarc666.
• Scary VeggieTales Theme Song Reversed by MST3KFTW ButtUglyMartiansFTL.
• A gameplay of Maze Game 4, a screamer game from 2009 by Joshua Mustill, that was recorded in 2016, titled follow the blue dot - especial edition by miguel chamorro leon.
• Sleeping Puppy by TheEmeraldMan382
• News Reporter's Shocking Death on Live Television by Sump, uploaded to his channel CemeterialCentral.

All of the screamers are synchronized to go off at the same time at around the 45-second mark into the video, with the shorter ones delayed to properly align with the longer ones later in the video. It is also rumored that Count The Snow Bunnies, Omsj, and SpongeBob assaults your mind with "subliminal messages" might've been used, based on audial and visual observations.

Background

The early hunt

After the user who uploaded the screamer was terminated in 2018, the origin of this video remained unknown to most people. Most people are familiar with it as it was used in videos called Up To Fasters. An example includes a video titled up to faster 110parison, also created and posted onto YouTube by said user and was showcased on the top left corner.

One day in July of 2020, a YouTube user named Give Me 5K Subs / NET1973 (now known as DiscoverGuy1999) found the video, its title (2016), length (1:09), and link ID (WAW6cE7DJ78) on a YouTube video titled Random Maze #7 by Pipsqueak8205. (uploaded on May 29th, 2017; 0:01-0:25). After this, the hunt began! Many users have requested a reupload to notably YouTube user [SM] Software Maker, as it was featured in the following of their uploaded videos:

• Why There million Again Up To Faster Parison Two Side By Side Baldi's Basics (uploaded on November 26th, 2018; 0:00-0:51).
• Screamer Maze (uploaded on December 21st, 2018; 2:00-3:09).
• Annoying Goose Comparison 4 (uploaded on January 20th, 2019; the part of the screamer where Anne.jpg is visible is played on a loop; 0:00-1:27).

People have had numerous attempts to find the screamer video, like using the Wayback Machine, but unfortunately, no saved archives can be found anywhere online. At the start of September of the same year, DiscoverGuy1999 uploaded a video similar to the original with the same title, though it included different videos mixed in. Some notable ones are The Maze, SCP-450, FOLLOW THE RED DOT ! SCARY HYPNOSIS GAME !, and Anne.jpg. An updated version with more sources was released on October 18th, 2020 (titled Some Early "2016" Thing), which adds more screamers including a very identical Maze Game 4 gameplay, all nine K-fee commercials, and the early version of Anne.jpg that was used in Sleeping Puppy. This remake was considered the most accurate for just over two years. Another updated version was made by the same creator in March of 2021 with even more sources, but DiscoverGuy1999 has never uploaded it.

On March 28th, 2021, a video was uploaded by DiscoverGuy1999 that 2016 is possible to be found on the Wayback Machine, but was yet to be found. After this, relevancy dropped significantly in 2016 due to DiscoverGuy1999's low interest. However, there were variations made by a few people, eventually seen by DiscoverGuy1999 during his channel's Classical Revolution that started on January 12th, 2023.

The big hunt

More people joined the hunt in 2023 as DiscoverGuy1999 promised YouTubePower member MyDayAston The Muppets Lover NAUTTP NATHDTC POE, that he would be able to reupload it using AceThinker Video Keeper; However, the site was a scam. About a week later, MyDayAston created a playlist titled 2016 remake, which later became a collaboration with DiscoverGuy1999. On February 25th, Discover decided to do an unofficial remake using Kapwing, containing the 5 videos that were seen in the playlist at the time. There were 2 videos non-screamer videos in the playlist, likely added by accident. The 2 videos were later removed, and "actual" screamer sources started to be added. If one of the screamers wasn't found yet, a similar video is used in the playlist.

On March 2nd, MyDayAston uploaded a reuploadish (similar to a reupload, but was cropped from another video with matching audio). The first 17 seconds are not included due to there being no found opaque footage of the first 17 seconds. MyDayAston and DiscoverGuy1999 then continued to uncover all the known sources in the screamer, notably using Screamer Wiki articles and other search sites. Discover found Puzzle Room - Kirby: Planet Robobot on March 7th, by viewing the SiIvaGunner category on this wiki, and the video was eventually added to the playlist.

A few days later, Discover started creating a remake of the screamer using KineMaster 5. He told MyDayAston that he has the near-identical Maze Game 4 gameplay used in Some Early "2016" Thing. The gameplay is slightly longer, the outline is thicker, and the actual gameplay was found later. After Discover agreed that MyDayAston insisted that he would do the remake, he was told that he also found Coffee Break - Mother 3. He was also told that the screamer video with the Loud Nigra sound effect was News Reporter's Shocking Death on Live Television, a lost screamer. The other two screamers were discovered later.

The first official remake was uploaded on March 14th. Some notable inaccuracies are that Scary pop up that will make you jump and cry. World BEST SCREAMER ! is just a green overlay, and since News Reporter's Shocking Death on Live Television was lost, it was replaced by a video made by the same user titled When you see the same term used for some people's Thirty-Eight fanart. The remake was modified on April 9th, after DiscoverGuy1999 heard of Sleeping Puppy. Only the screamer section of Scary pop up that will make you jump and cry. World BEST SCREAMER ! is shown, and remakes of Sleeping Puppy and News Reporter's Shocking Death on Live Television are now added.

A third remake was made on May 13th, after the source of News Reporter's Shocking Death on Live Television was found the prior day. The remake was even more accurate than the previous remakes he made. DiscoverGuy1999 also showed his remakes of Sleeping Puppy and News Reporter's Shocking Death on Live Television to people on the file hosting site qu.ax. The amount of remakes and variations created and uploaded had increased after the third remake.

On January 14th, 2024, DiscoverGuy1999 decided to make a fourth 2016 remake using Kapwing, which is intended to be the most accurate one possible. The remake was uploaded on January 15th, 2024, but fixed a minor error and uploaded it as remake V4.5, on January 21st.

On June 23rd, at around 6:00 pm BST, MyDayAston found the original video's thumbnail, which seems to be a frame from the video's 40-second mark. This was found on the thumbnail for the YouTube Multiplier mashup titled "2016 2parison PawPatrol&Jack'sBigMusicShowFanatic 2004".

Debunked reupload

2016 was once thought to be found on November 25th, 2024, when a user named The Volkswagen Zone claimed that he found the original video. However, when the video was analyzed, it was confirmed to be fake. Discover decided to give 2016 a fifth remake a few weeks later, after the "reupload" was debunked.

On May 15th, 2025, AndrewTheNicktoons HubFan2004 was tagged by DiscoverGuy1999 in the description of a reuploadish of one of PawPatrol&Jack'sBigMusicShowFanatic 2004's Up To Fasters, titled up to faster twelveparison. He said, "That's not my video, I never uploaded that to my channel." and, "My channel used to be called that (PawPatrol&Jack'sBigMusicShowFanatic 2004) since 2016. But in 2017, I changed the name to PawPatrolandLazyTownFanatic 2004, and then near the beginning of 2018, I was known as Andrew the PBS Kid, and since late 2021 I was AndrewtheNicktoons HubFan2004. My YouTube channel was wrongfully terminated on April 27, 2019, for multiple third-party claims of copyright infringement, and I tried to bring it back, and surprise, surprise, it did come back on late 2021, but I didn't know that until January 2022." With this in mind, it is now rumored that the PawPatrol&Jack'sBigMusicShowFanatic 2004 that made this screamer is an impersonation of AndrewTheNicktoons HubFan2004.
