Anne.jpg was a screamer webpage that pretends to be a .jpg file, it was originally located on akk.li as the file directory in 2011 or 2012, created by Xenox.
Content
The content is a flashing picture of Jeff the Killer, accompanied by an extremely loud, almost metallic sound as the image quickly inverts in negative colors, then it repeats, right before the scream was played, the image can be noticed being zoomed in, in the original webpage, it contains a text stating that "This site will not harm your computer and doesn't contains malware!" with a link to the facebook page above, this site has been visited 27,5 million times as of May 2016, the website is now closed and redirected to savetheinternet.info. Today, the site simply shows a 404 error.
History
December 2012 - Marxh 2013
The screamer was first linked by ZONA DEL Terror in December 2012 on Facebook, which some text stating: "miren este vdeo horror fans esta increble!!!" The website: 420yolo.com was first released in March 2013, and it has been posted on several subreddits, many of which are disguised. a few months later, in May, the site Findminecraft.com was launched and achieved popularity because of DanTDM who was tricked into entering the site.[1]
January 2014 - May 2015
For a while, there was another mirror called Topkek.co (possibly existed in around 2014). This one did not the malicious script unlike other known mirrors, but it did install malware on the computer. This version was spammed in 4chan's /b/ for a long time, but there are so many mirrors of Anne.jpg that began to spread across the internet to confuse users. Topkek is a 4chan meme[2], and its purpose is to mislead people into believing that the website is associated with Topkek.
late in 2014, Agor.io was registered; it is the most popular since several people have substituted the first "a" with "o" There were many social media posts about the site, mostly to warn, many of these posts came from Reddit. The father of a nine-year-old boy who suffered an epileptic seizure as a result of accessing Agor.io claimed that he and his wife were suing the creator of Agor.io; According to Whois.net, the creator of Agor.io was revealed to be Preston Kellenberger, who lived in Sardinia, Ohio at the time of the incident.[3]
