IT, better known in its preferred form as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, and alternatively known as Robert "Bob" Gray, is the titular main antagonist of the 1986 novel of the same name by Stephen King and its subsequent television, film adaptations, and the 2025 prequel TV series Welcome to Derry.
It is an ancient, otherworldly, and eldritch cosmic entity that takes the form of one's worst terrors (particularly of children) before feeding on them.
