Saddam Hussein Execution was a 16-second long screamer video uploaded to YouTube by now-deleted channel VenerableDread on December 30, 2006. The video was meant to trick people into thinking it contained the execution footage of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, who was executed by hanging on the same day this screamer was uploaded.
The video begins with a red text on a black background that reads "Saddam Hussein Execution Video! Actual Footage Of The Bastard Getting Hung! Watch It! By VenerableDread" in all caps. The text is displayed for nine seconds, and then fades away. Immediately after the text vanishes, a loud high pitched shriek starts playing while a large number of screamer images quickly flash on screen, in order:
- A red-tinted image of Pennywise from the IT
- A human skull movie prop
- The face from What's Wrong?
- Regan MacNeil
- A dark hooded figure
- Same image but high contrast
- Scabeiathrax the Bloated from Warhammer 40,000
- A high contrast image of a skull with sharp, spiky teeth
- A medical photograph of a severly injured face
- An image from the short film Rubber Johnny
- Jigsaw from SAW
- A photoshopped image of a man screaming, with his eyes replaced with mouths
- A high contrast image of a man with his mouth wide open
- Yet another human skull
- Another high contrast image of a man with his mouth wide open
- A green tinted distorted image of a person with their mouth open
- A hand holding a pair of eyeballs
After the montage, an rapidly flashing image of a spider tilts to the left while zooming in, as well as a gif of a ConSec scanner's head exploding into bits and pieces, taken from the 1981 horror film Scanners.
