However, by the end of the video, its intentions are much more deceiving than it meets the eye.

In terms of the video, it is based on the popular "Cat Videos" trend that has become a staple of internet culture since its early beginnings. Moreover, the kitten shown in the video appears to be a bicolored Tuxedo Cat. Unfortunately, based on the video description saying "Rest in peace little buddy," the poor kitten died at some point post-production. With that said, this video exploits the trend to the extent of giving a fellow watcher a nasty surprise that they will never forget.
The screamer image used at the end of the video is of the Pale Lady from the well-known horror book series Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Specifically, the short story of the same name in Scary Stories 3: More Tales to Chill your Bones.
