SML Short: Mario’s Nightmare was the third episode of SML Shorts which aired on YouTube on June 12, 2009, and contains a screamer at the end. The short was uploaded onto SuperMarioLogan, a defunct YouTube channel known for hosting a number of webseries from 2007 up until 2018, when the channel was terminated. This video was the 90th upload on the channel.[1]
The video begins with an 8-bit intro of Super Mario walking up to a question block and jumping to hit it with his head, which projects the words “Super Mario Logan” onto the blank Super Mario Bros logo above the block.
The episode starts with Mario coming home from work at 2:00 am and telling Peach he had two overtimes, to which Peach responds by calling bullcrap on him and assuming he was hanging out with Daisy.
Peach tells Mario that they'll discuss another time, and they both fall asleep. The camera then zooms into Mario’s head, which segues into his dream. The dream starts with Mario somehow finding Wario playing the piano. The dream continues, showing gameplay of World 1-1 of Super Mario Bros. The player then loses his lives and gets a game over. After, it shows Luigi cheering, and Mario then wakes up and complains about how disturbing his dream was. Luigi tells him to calm down, and the video ends with a "The End" card. But, the video isn’t over yet, because after this plays, a picture of Regan MacNeil from The Exorcist appears with the same scream from Scary Tic-Tac-Toe. Then the video ends.
