Yui Hirasawa is a character from the musical anime series K-On!. She is the lead singer of her own band.

Many fans search for her name on Yahoo Japan to find cute pictures of her. However, some users were shocked to see a graphic image of a bleeding finger placed over the towel.

The original photo was hosted on a website called art12.photozou.jp during the year 2012. This site allowed users to upload images without following strict safety rules or content moderation. In this case, People could post gore, adult content, or.. surprisingly, the website collectively hosted so many anti-Japanese propaganda until it shut down.

Because of the website's lack of rules, internet trolls would abuse this loophole to manipulate the search results. For example, users often name their files after popular characters to trick people into clicking on them. By naming a gore image after Yui Hirasawa, the file appears when fans look for her. This same trick was used for other K-On! characters like the bassist Mio Akiyama. Fans searching on Yahoo often opened links expecting fan art but found shock images instead.

Must Not Search wiki listed any possible shock images related to Yui Hirasawa, including the names of Invasion Squid Girl.jpg, Girl.jpg, Nyameron.jpg, DSCN2401.JPG, 019.jpg, Viploader2d256460.gif, zzzzz.JPG, 297.jpg, 298.JPG, vip.bmp. Interestingly, the wiki also included that an image of a person with its head ripped off (zzzzz.JPG) came from this website.
