Google.exe
Google.exe is a series of screamer games created and published on November 8, 2016, developed by RecordGuy626 using Game Maker 2.1.0 version, it has many sequels on Gamejolt.
The Story is about a report filed back in the 2016, Google has detected a virus that has gotten into the source of the search engine, Many Members of google we're found to be dead, or was fired due to the virus, even if they haven't done anything wrong. Google wants to get rid of everyone that was made by its creators.
Gameplay
The application starts with a regular Google Homepage, that includes a search bar and 2 buttons labled: "Enter", and "I'm Feeling Lucky", if the person tries to add something to the search bar, will lead to an error, and shows something the player can choose, is YouTube, CD Drive, Google Update, and the last one is a Google service, if the player clicks the Google Update, they will get a message box that says "WELCOME TO GOOGLE NIGHTMARE PAGE", at which point the page suddenly changes to a dark, red version of the page.
the texts on the page are now labeled: "you shouldn't have done that", referring to the creepypasta known as BEN Drowned, the texts are clickable, although they do nothing, they show a message of "you shouldn't have done that", but expect, they have a chance getting a message box stating "You met a terrible fate haven't you", when they click on it, the application closes itself, generating into 3 text files, with just some eerie text.
Upon clicking on YouTube, this leads to some video, with just some tv static and a text that covers the background, which tells the player that the video has some error and it can't be fixed right now, after a few seconds, the screen cuts into a picture of Sonic.exe, then quickly cuts into some static, the application opens the browser, it shows a text: "Hello, Do you want to play with me?", then generates some files that show some eerie text.
in the CD Drive Cleaner, this leads to some page, containing a CD Drive, a text, and a clean button, as well as the loading bar underneath, upon clicking the button, the loading bar starts, and it's progressively loading in, when the loading bar completes, the application closes again, Eventually, the picture of a Moon from Legend of Zelda, appears along with a loud scream, generating some files again.
There is an easter egg behind this game, the clue can be found on the texts files, it tells the player, that it begins with "G" and ends with ".exe", it's easy to tell, that the answer is "Google.exe", if the player types this on the search bar, at which point the homepage turns into a demonic version of the page, however, after a few seconds, the player gets a message, that says "You shouldn't have done that", when they click ok, the screen cuts into an image of 2 eyes and a smile, along with an extremely loud scream, and the player is redirected to an image of Ben Drowned.
Hangouts.exe
In the sequel of Google.exe, which is called Hangouts.exe or known as Google 2.exe created and published onto Gamejolt by a user RecordGuy626 on March 26th, 2017, the game itself pretends to be a copied version of a cross-platform messaging app developed by Google known as Google Hangouts.
After opening the file, there is a document text file that reads: "Ever since you entered the nightmare page things has been acting up lately. A few products were infected that we can't explain about. A group of unknownable users appeared in this product mind if you check them out?"
Gameplay of Hangouts.exe
When the application is launched, the player is told immediately to click the "start" button to begin the main gameplay, after pressing the button, the player has to type someone on the search bar, when the player types something, the results will show up, consisting of 5 people in the list, including AlexBlogger, Women666, Mr. Death, Charlie, and the last one is Satan, when the player clicks on the first one, their profile pic will display on the screen, and their voice can be heard, speaking, however, the first person ends the call for 4 seconds.
If the player clicks on the second person, will result in an audio of the same scream from The Maze, this is followed by a picture of the scary face from Dane Boe's video, clicking on Mr. Death, will result in a dark background, this persists for another 7 seconds, before generating and opening a document text file that requests the player to not turn around, but suddenly, the screen cuts into a picture of Sonic.exe, accoumpanied by an extremely loud scream, and the application subsequently closes itself.
When clicking on Charlie, will display a dark background and a "call" button, after clicking on the button, will result in an error, meaning the person is not on the call obviously, however, Charli immediately calls the player, when the player hangs up on the call, however, the same screamer picture interrupts the call, accompanied by an extremely loud scream, this leads the application to generate another text file that reads: "Go ahead and me anything!", after clicking on 4 people,
The player has to do the last one, who is Satan, after the person clicks it, the application closes, trying to relaunch it won't work, the application opens itself and fullscreen's the player's computer, and shows a dark background and some fire on the "ground", followed by an eerie text: "You shouldn't have done that", it's another reference to a creepypasta known as BEN Drowned, and again, this leads the computer to generate a text file that shows the same text, but suddenly, the screen immediately cuts into 2 same pictures of a dark figure with white eyes and small black pupils, wide smile, but the second picture plays an extremely loud audio of distortion, before showing a text "Run Away".
