Pokémon Death Shock was a screamer animation created in an unknown date.
Content
The animation is entirely pitch black at first, but an image can be seen moving slowly toward the center of the screen, looking as though it is cycling through 20 different flashing images in a loop. These images include:
- A small, fluffy kitten on a sunlit wooden deck.
- Archive footage of the Nagasaki mushroom cloud.
- A smiling woman in traditional dark Japanese clothing.
- A bride and groom in white wedding attire outdoors.
- A white-and-grey cat looking straight up.
- A knight figurine next to a metal tin.
- Construction workers ziplining under a bright blue sky.
- A wooden Japanese shrine under neon purple lights.
- A grainy photograph of the 9/11 skyscraper disaster.
- Japanese calligraphy reading 殺戮バイオレンス殺戮 (Massacre Violence).
- A lone figure trudging across a snowy wasteland.
- An ornate golden Buddha statue inside a temple.
- A vintage rubber doll against a green canvas.
- A grainy black frame speckled with tiny lights.
- A stylized white-masked Japanese figure with red hair.
- A vintage black-and-white photo of a figure in the woods.
- A monochrome child's portrait in an oval frame.
- A portrait of a young boy in suspenders.
- The remaining images showed the young boy in suspenders from different angles.
As the image slowly begins to cover the entire screen, the flashing montage stops and cuts abruptly to a close-up shot of a disembodied head of the same vintage plastic doll, accompanied by a loud moan (similar to the audio used in Lomando.com's Main.html).
The screamer is named after the infamous incident often referred to as the Pokémon Death Shock which resulted in over 600 hospitalizations. During the TV broadcast of Dennō Senshi Porygon, Pikachu destroys an incoming vaccine missile with a Thunderbolt attack, creating a violent, rapid red-and-blue strobe effect. Because of this, the screamer mimics the same chaotic flashing of images in quick succession to simulate the trigger. Despite its title, the animation does not contain any content related to Pokémon
