Stare at the Dot! is a video created by Richard Wiseman, a renowned psychologist, for his Quirkology channel on YouTube.

The video features an intriguing inverted effect where Wiseman instructs the viewer to focus on his nose, and a blue dot suddenly appears on it. The video then switches to a grayscale effect. The idea is that a positive color afterimage will overlap with the black and white part of the video, making it look like it’s in color.

In the original, Wiseman actually reassures the audience that there will be no screamers, and there aren’t. However, a modified version titled "Stare at the Dot on His Nose" was uploaded by Jacob Laggard in 2018, which does contain a screamer. The thumbnail features a screencap of Thomas' shocked face from the popular children's show 'Thomas and Friends' on Wiseman's nose. After 30 seconds, a picture of a dog appears, followed by a loud scream and special effects.
