Yukan no Shonen |
Yukan no Shonen (Japanese: 幽管の少年, lit. "ghost tube boy") is a character from Lomando.com that appears in various YouTube videos on the website. He is featured in puzzles such as the hiragana puzzle and the Jan Ken Pon puzzle. Yukan no Shonen is depicted as a young Japanese boy with an oval-shaped head and grey skin wearing a dark navy blue jinbei with enlarged eyes that ooze a grey liquid.
Appearance in Lomando series
In Iamonnenuohs.html, Yukan no Shonen instructs the player to sort hiragana characters into a sentence. If the player enters the correct code, Yukan no Shonen will say 正解だよ (seikai da yo, "that's the correct answer"). If the code is incorrect, a close-up of Yukan no Shonen's eyes briefly appear as he says 違うよ (chigau yo, "that's wrong"). In the English version of the puzzle, Ieamonnnegnuohs12.html, he points at playing cards held by people wearing what seem to resemble Elizabeth masks. The player must enter the numbers on the red cards.
In Uozokjonasawuagukob.html, the player must input the correct Jan Ken Pon sequence to proceed. After explaining the game, the video on the page depicts Yukan no Shonen dancing and then exclaiming "Jan Ken Pon" as he displays different hand signs for rock, paper, and scissors. Immediately following each turn, the video briefly flashes a split-second frame with either a red background (勝, "WIN") or a blue background (負, "LOSE"), representing Yukan no Shonen's outcome. The player must input the correct sign corresponding to Yukan no Shonen's outcome.
In other videos, Yukan no Shonen appears alongside Mimi and Nekoshow, dancing to a remix of the music used in the Red Number puzzle video.
Yukan no Shonen appeared in the old version of Twinklegallery.html. If the player found the phone at the bottom of the page and clicked on the "Scrolled Side" section multiple times, the phone would ring, and Yukan no Shonen would answer. He would then congratulate the player for beating Fancy Island and provide them with the password to the door of the extra page, which was "4181."
Deep Fancy Island
Yukan no Shonen appears in Deepdotsboy.html as pixel art, where he congratulates the player for finding the page and gives them the code to Secret 4 in Deeparchive.html. Yukan no Shonen also makes a cameo appearance in the "BAR" slot in Deepslotkai.html.
Trivia
- "Yukan" (幽管) is a pun on YouTube. The first kanji, 幽 (yū, "profound" or secluded"), sounds similar to "you", and is used in words like 幽霊 (yūrei, "ghost"). The second kanji, 管, is read as kan and means "pipe" or "tube".
