Google.exe: Difference between revisions

The [[application]] opens with a simulated Google interface, featuring limited interactable elements like the search bar, the "search" button, and the "[[wikipedia:I'm Feeling Lucky|I'm Feeling Lucky]]" button. Players can input anything in the search bar and, if available, be redirected; otherwise, they are redirected to a list of available contents.

:* "About Google" redirects to a note indicating that Google has been updated for "safety and security" and suggests visiting [[wikipedia:Gmail|Gmail]] for more information.  

:*[[wikipedia:Google Earth|Google Earth]] allows players to search for any country, presenting an image of Earth in the background. Typing in a desired country results in the image transforming into an explosion accompanied by an exceptionally loud beeping noise. The [[application]] then opens with a note reading "Invalid country you had putten [sic], It doesn't exist..."

:*[[wikipedia:Gmail|Gmail]] opens up with a password interface, but the player can type anything they would and should be redirected to the mailbox, with one mail available in it. The mail contains a message from "The Google Team" to the point it reveals the player is being stalked around and they know the player's identity. After leaving the page, the button for accessing Gmail is made unavailable.

:* Google Update triggers a message box saying "Welcome to Version 6.6.6." Subsequently, the list of contents changes to the text "Denied," and the background shifts to static. These actions prompt an "Access Denied" message box, and after a moment, the game abruptly closes, leaving a note behind with the words "DENIED YOURSELF DENIED YOURSELF."

:*Choosing Google Photos reveals a list of stock images, mainly related to Google and entrepreneurs. The search bar, when used for Google Speed Update, transitions to a text prompt. However, it abruptly shifts to a highly contrasted image of [[Amy Peterson]] from ''[[wikipedia:Fright Night|Fright Night]]'', accompanied by the [[Mov0001.swf]] scream.

:*Google Settings displays a fake error message that this service is not available yet.

However, during the scan, the application cuts to static and closes abruptly. A notepad message appears, stating, "Your Computer Issues are solved. Your Computer Issues are solved. Your Computer Issues are solved."

:*[[wikipedia:Ask.com|Ask.com]] directs players to the actual page of Ask.com, constrained by a single button for asking something. Anything entered there is automatically replaced by "Google.exe," yielding results for "Google.exe." Clicking on it results in a message box saying "Google Refused," returning the player to the list of contents. This sequence is briefly interrupted by an image of [[Katie Embry]] from [[wikipedia:The Ring|''The Ring'']].

The earlier version of the application presented users with choices such as YouTube, CD Drive Cleaner, Google Update, and various Google services.
