How to Make A Screamer

Wiki Pages

If you're going to make a wiki page about a screamer, I recommend reading the Manual of Style written officially. This userpage is about how to make a screamer, not making a web page. You cannot make a wiki page a screamer.

Videos

Videos are the most common out of all screamers, reaching over an estimated amount of 1,177 videos at the time of writing. The common "it plays a video then after five seconds an image of Regan MacNeil appears" is highly not recommended. I recommend to at least put some effort into screamers.

  1. Use your desired video editor: We will now open your desired video editor that you use. For a list of video editors, proceed to the "What to Use" section.
    1. OPTIONAL; making a folder for essentials: You will make a folder for the essentials, and you can name it whatever you want. You will also make two folders inside the main folder, name one of the folders "screamers" for screamer essentials and name another folder "misc" for essentials before the screamer. To do this step, use your file manager.
  2. Getting essentials pre-screamer: Get ANYTHING you need before getting essentials for the screamer. This could be a video or an image. In the example used in this guide, I will be using the Bliss wallpaper seen in Windows XP.
  3. Getting essentials for the screamer: You will also get essentials for the screamers. For images, head over to the Screamer Gallery (warning: contains screamer images). And for audio, use Freesound or if you're downloading audio of YouTube videos, use cobalt by wukko. Any other "YouTube" downloading sites, applications and extensions are most likely malicious and will harm your computer.
  4. Uploading essentials: You will now use your video editor and upload the essentials. Go to the Upload section on your video editor and upload all essentials.
  5. Making the screamer: From the beginning, you will upload the essentials pre-screamer. If you want, you can make the screamer at the beginning (not recommended), the middle or the end. You could also put some things on top such as editing the video to make it have captions, titles, wacky effects and etcetera.
  6. Downloading and uploading the screamer: Now to download and upload the video somewhere. Download the video, and then if you want to you can upload the video to a video-sharing platform such as YouTube or your own website if you wanted to.

Once done, your screamer should look similar to this (does not contain any scary images or loud noises):

Websites

Websites are basically web-pages that contain screamers.

  1. Learn HTML5 and CSS: You cannot do anything until you learn HTML5 and CSS or PHP. You only need to learn the basics, such as making text embedding media (videos, images and audio) and making hyperlinks. If you're going to add a script, you're also going to have to learn the basics of JavaScript. For HTML5, CSS and JavaScript tutorials, use W3Schools (this is not sponsored by W3Schools at all).
  2. Use your desired site editor: We will now open your desired site editor that you use. For a list of site editors, proceed to the "What to Use" section.

Image Editing Software

Kleki Great to use if you are drawing an image, but if you are using it to edit an image you will need a web browser to use Kleki, which you already have. There may be not much features sadly, but it is noob-friendly. Silver Web Browser
GIMP Extremely great image editor in my opinion, highly simple to use and it is also noob-friendly. Do NOT use any version on the Google Play Store at all. Platinum GNU/Linux, ChromeOS (linux environment), MacOS and Windows
ibisPaint Mostly used for drawing. Still decent though, there's also a paid version but I mostly recommend freebies. Great Windows, iOS, Android
