Deathnote.html was a screamer website created by 16bit! in 2006.

The main menu features the text "DEATH NOTE" in large, rough, hand-drawn white lettering against a solid black background. Below it, Japanese text reads 再生 (Saisei, meaning "Play" or "Playback"), accompanied by an arrow and ↑ クリック (↑ Click), which acts as an interactive start button. In the bottom-left corner, a small warning note reads 注意：クソフラ注意 (Chūi: Kuso-fura Chūi), a warning translating to "Warning: Shit Flash / Low-quality Flash Prank Warning."

When the user clicks the arrow, the animation begins, depicting an interaction between Ryuk and Light Yagami from the series Death Note. Ryuk tells Light that he wants to introduce him to another Shinigami (God of Death). Light is initially confused, but soon grows impatient, telling Ryuk to stop teasing and bring the other Shinigami over quickly. Ryuk agrees, apologizes, and tells Light to wait just a second.

After a pause, the interaction suddenly cuts into a close-up photo of a deformed creature with large, sharp, overlapping teeth and reddish tissue, accompanied by the same scream used in Mortal Kombat II and Where's Waldo?.
