The Jumpscare Challenge
The Jumpscare Challenge is a screamer video created by ethanb0206, as a challenge to viewers to not get scared by a jumpscare without knowing where it appears. It was originally uploaded to YouTube on January 18th, 2016. The video accumulated over 3,300,000 views as of 2021, as well as 64.51 like-to-dislike ratio.[1]
As already stated, the point of the video is to not get scared by the jumpscare without knowing where it appears from. Barney would randomly appear with the words: "Don't Skip" beneath. 46 seconds in, a distorted, close-up image of Barney's face with spike teeth (near resemblance to Jeff the Killer) appears along with an incredibly loud nuclear sound. The image then fades out before returning back to the screamer right away.
YouTuber SSSniperWolf has featured the screamer part on her channel, which appears at 5:49, after the screamer, she then says: "Oh my God that scared the fuck out of me and I'm so sorry if that scared you but I I felt like that I needed a jumpscare, I needed to do a jumpscare because that last clip was not scary at all, so, sorry."[2]
