The video starts on the desktop of the video's creator, which is not a genuine copy of Windows and has a black screen. Nonetheless, the cursor also clicks on that file and encounters yet another file titled "Stay away! Turn back!", which it also clicks, A fourth file is then shown, reading "I'm warning you!", but the cursor still disobeys its warning and clicks on it too, finding another file that reads "Don't even think about it!".

"Don't click on that file!" is a screamer video created by Aldrine Joseph 25, which features a series of warnings and files that lead to a jumpscare. The video was recorded primarily using OBS Studio, which is indicated by the active icon that appears on the taskbar.

The video begins by displaying the creator's desktop, which consists of a non-genuine Windows copy and a black screen. The cursor is then shown hovering over a file with the label "Do not click on that file!" which, despite the warning, is clicked. The file is opened to reveal another file inside that states "I can't believe you clicked on that file!" Nevertheless, the cursor still clicks on it, which leads to yet another file called "Stay away! Turn back!". The cursor opens the third file and comes across a fourth one with the message "I'm warning you!" written on it. After clicking on it, the cursor is shown another file with the label "Don't even think about it!".

Despite this warning, the cursor clicks on it, which leads to yet another file reading "I swear, you'll regret it!". Once again, the cursor clicks on it, and a picture file labeled "Now you're in REALLY big trouble, bud!" is opened. However, the file is pitch-black, and then the image viewer suddenly shows the scary face of the girl from the video "Scarier Faces" along with a scream from "Scary Tic-Tac-Toe".
