This page is about a screamer or shock site, whose original copy has been deleted.
This screamer's original copy is deleted, but the article links to an archive on the Wayback Machine or another saved copy.

Basement Ghost (also known as "Ghostly Picture!") was a 30-second long screamer animation that was uploaded to the defunct web hosting service GeoCities in 2002 by a user named patlee_69. The site on which this screamer was hosted, which also had a guestbook for people to sign if they had "seen the ghost", can only be accessed through the Wayback Machine.[1]

The animation shows an extremely grainy image of a dimly lit basement. Nothing else happens until 22 seconds pass, when suddenly, a cut-out of Cheryl Williams as her possessed self from the 1981 horror film The Evil Dead flashes for a single second in front of the basement image alongside a high-pitched, echoed scream; the animation then repeats afterward.
