The game starts with a menu featuring an unusual depiction of Shrek's original design. The player is challenged to a staring contest against Shrek from the titular series, while a high-pitched tone progressively intensifies in the background. Moving the mouse will result in Shrek startling the player, as his face contorts and transforms into that of a grizzly bear, accompanied by a ferocious roar.
