Square Rooms is a Japanese escape room Flash game made by AlphaZone. It has three bad endings, two normal endings, and one true ending. One of the bad endings contains a screamer. It later released a remake version that's vastly different and without any screamer. However, there was a sequel to it, Square Rooms II: The Blue Key. The game was teased after completing the true ending of the first game, where a hidden message asks the player if they really believe they escaped. After this scene, the player is shown a locked blue key, a shotgun with ammunition, and the title “Square Rooms II: The Blue Key.” But it is currently lost
Gameplay

The game is played entirely with the mouse. The player moves around the rooms by clicking blue arrows located at the edges of the screen. Objects can be examined or collected by clicking on them.
Collected items are automatically stored in the inventory on the right side of the screen. Unlike many other point-and-click games, items do not always have to be manually selected before being used. Carrying the correct item can automatically trigger an event when the player examines a specific location.
The game consists of several connected rooms identified by the letters S, W, E, and N. Another hidden room, X, can also be reached under certain circumstances.
The rooms contain locked drawers, blood-written messages, photographs, hidden objects, codes, weapons, and other clues. Some clues only become understandable after the player has already reached one of the bad endings.
A small H button can appear in the lower-right corner of the screen. Clicking it provides a hint intended to help the player solve the puzzles.
The game contains multiple endings. Certain actions immediately result in a bad ending, while solving the puzzles correctly allows the player to progress toward the normal or true ending.
