Er-mta.net/fnaf/scream was a screamer subpage created by Russian user, Gallardo994 (Igor Boyko) and posted on the Empire of Riders German forum in 2014.[1]
The subpage displayed an animated re-creation of Freddy Fazbear's power-out jumpscare from Five Nights at Freddy's. The jumpscare itself appears to be coded with a simple coding language called "HTML5", which makes the animation loop over and over again. As of January 18th, 2017, the subpage is now deleted due to the Empire of Riders forum making a brand new and improved forum.[2]
In July 2015, the user "Retroity" (also known as "Theawesome67") created a similar browser-based Five Nights at Freddy'ss screamer named "Goldbear". The site gained notoriety after being used in a "redirect" attack that compromised several high-traffic wikis on the Fandom hosting service, including the communities for Five Nights at Freddy's and Marvel: Avengers Alliance.[3] Users redirected to the URL were immediately presented with a static jump scare image of the character Golden Freddy. Following the disruption, the subpage was permanently removed by the hosting provider. "Golden Freddy" was originally named "Goldbear" until the YouTuber Markiplier coined the current name.
