The ''scary Tic-Tac-Toe game'' is a scary prank for children that disguises itself as a Tic-Tac-Toe game. After the player had a few turns, a close-up picture of a hideous zombie face (more specifically a replica mask from ''The Evil Dead'') appears and shakes, and a loud scream sound is played. There is another version that uses a picture of a clown with a green tongue sticking out.

The player has to choose between X and O roles, and the objective is to compete against the computer. The player who succeeds in placing three of their marks in a diagonal, horizontal, or vertical row is the winner. Upon starting the game, the one who chose X must go first before the O's. However, after the computer blocks the player's way for the 2nd time, a shaking close-up picture of a replica zombie mask from [[wikipedia:The_Evil_Dead|''The Evil Dead'']] pops up accompanied by a loud female scream (originally Miss Havisham (portrayed by the late [[wikipedia:Martita Hunt|Martita Hunt]]) from the 1946 British drama film ''[[wikipedia:Great Expectations (1946 film)|Great Expectations]]''). As of 2018, the original screamer has been deleted.
