The Pain Series was originally hosted on crazyninjas.org/kittens but was shut down, likely due for violating the host provider's terms of service.

The Pain Series was eventually popularized by [[Encyclopedia Dramatica]]. All seven images are listed on the "Pain Series" page with a link to a [[Last Measure]] mirror called lm.loldongs.eu towards the bottom. Other pages utilize Template:Pain, a template that consists of a collage of images from the Pain Series that fill the entire page, which is hyperlinked to kittens.bioghost.com, another Last Measure mirror.
