Kayleigh is a YouTube video created by English YouTuber Callum Bowen in October 27th, 2015, made to celebrate Halloween due to its dark nature. Using a VHS effect, static and gore, it is heavily influenced by the lost episode creepypasta genre. Moreover, it disguises itself as a children's show inspired by the British children's animated series Mr. Benn (due to the animation). It's also narrated by John C. Roberts.
The video begins with fading to yellow text reading, "Kayleigh" in a light-blue background (representing the sky) while cheerful music plays. Yellow text below the logo fade in and out, with one about the narration and another about bo en being the video's creator. The music ended, and after it progressed, the logo fades out. The camera then pans to a detailed shot of various colorful houses as the narrator began its speech, saying that it's a sunny day, the birds are singing and the children are playing outside. As the narrator's speech becomes continuous, the camera pans to a yellow house, which is where Kayleigh lives. As the camera slowly zooms into its door, Kayleigh went outside her house and silently waves at the viewer. The narrator then informs Kayleigh that they're going to the park, and after finishing his speech, Kayleigh silently nods, which agrees the narrator. It then cuts to Kayleigh walking down the road on her way to the park. During this, the narrator claimed that Kayleigh loves to go to the park, with the swings being her favorite. Suddenly, static appears, and everything changes. The sky's red instead of blue, the fence's gray instead of brown, Kayleigh's hair's black instead of brown, her skirt and shoes are purple instead of pink, her face's gone, and she's shown pulling a large brown bag with blood on it while walking. The narrator's shown cut by this scene until everything reverts back to normal, showing us a lot of children at the park, devastating the narrator. The camera then pans to Chloe on the slide, which is cut by another disturbing scene where the red sky reappears, the tree's leaves are grayish, there's blood on the ground, and Chloe and one of the children are faceless with their heads distorting, accompanied by several sounds of a child screaming, as well as the narrator saying, "There she is" in slow-motion. The screen cuts to static as we see Chloe talking to Kayleugh that they're going to play statues, fascinating her. They began playing it, with Kayleigh being the one who freezes the children. Suddenly, after Chloe runs towards Kayleigh (which the narrator describes it as "very naughty"), a screamer appears, with Kayleigh having huge eyes with tiny pupils and a large mouth with blood-covered teeth, accompanied by a distorted-sounding woman scream as static flickers. During the screamer, Kayleigh raises her left arm to the screen as it cuts to black.
Disturbing music plays as it cuts to Chloe lying down the ground with a pool of blood behind her head, her face disfigured and torn apart by Kayleigh, who's shown laughing manically. Chloe's head began twitching as a spider comes out of her mouth, followed by a black silhouette (presumably of Kayleigh) with yellow eyes in a dark-blue background for a split second before reverting back to normal. When then come across the climax where Chloe declares how Kayleigh can go high on the swings, fascinating her. The children then gathered around the swings as Kayleigh swings higher and higher, and as the narrator claimed that she can touch the sky, static reappears as creepy ambient music plays, with all the children (excluding Chloe) killed by Kayleigh, who's off-screen. The swings, however, are still swinging, now by itself. It then briefly cuts to Chloe crying realistically, and after that, it shows Kayleigh, with her eyes shadowed. The camera slowly zooms into her until suddenly, another screamer appears. It is of Kayleigh with an entirely black face, the Smile Dog grin and huge realistic eyes, with the screen shaking wildly, accompanied by a loud screech, abruptly cutting to the TV color bars, ending the video.
