B9G.swf is a flash game created and posted onto Newgrounds, by Sound-Box on January 25th, 2018.
The game follows the standard format of maze games. The objective of the game is to guide a dot through a maze without touching the walls. If the player fails to do so, they will restart from the beginning. The game has multiple levels, with each level progressively becoming more challenging than the previous one. The player controls the movement of the dot using a cursor. However, just before the completion of level 5, the screen cuts to an image of The Phantom from Inland Empire accompanied by a loud scream. This sudden shift to a horror theme caught many players off guard and has led to numerous reaction videos online. The game quickly returns to the maze after the jump scare. The Maze Game has become a popular prank to scare friends and family.
