Pennywise the Dancing Clown is the form assumed by the main antagonist of the 1986 novel IT by Stephen King (and subsequent television and film adaptations). In reality, Pennywise is an ancient eldritch alien monster known as IT, which sadistically torments and feeds on human children.

Pictures of Pennywise are commonly used in screamers, like in other videos, games, and websites.

Portrayals

Pennywise's Role was played by Tim Curry in the 1990 miniseries, and Bill Skarsgård in the 2017 and 2019 film duology.
