Basement Ghost is a flash screamer that could be found on Geocities in 2002, the creator of the GIF is patlee_69, the site can be only be accessed on Wayback Machine.
It asks the viewer to find a ghost in a dark, bad quality photo of an old basement; however, the image is actually a .swf file with a screamer embedded. After a few seconds, a picture of a zombie from The Evil Dead flashes for one second along with a short, loud, echoed scream.
