Screamer Cactus
Screamer Cactus is a french screamer initially created by french forum user PyjamaSam or known as: "0xad" and was first mentioned (indirectly) by the latter on April 7, 2012 on this topic on Jeuxvideo.com french off-topic forum: Blabla 18-25 ans.
The screamer contains a picture of a man with a cactus up his anus, a little small seminal fluid about to come out of his penis and an extremely loud version of the song The Cadillac Theory by Stupeflip plays with an oversaturated effect. The same SWF file that also contains the audio also tries to trick the browser into infinite pop-ups. A script in the source code will also try to fullscreen the webpage in a loop and hide the cursor.
History
During the summer of 2012, the Screamer Cactus was used during Twitter raids, notably to open it during Twitcams.
In early 2016, a small team went on Twitch to make people open the Screamer Cactus during live streams.
On April 8, 2016, a Streamer named Takeru_46 opened the Screamer Cactus during one of his live streams, the screamer stayed on the broadcast for more than 4 minutes before he managed to close it (even if he re-opened it 3 more times afterward).
Because of the purchase of Jeuxvideo.com by Webedia for €90 million[1], automated moderation (410)[2] might remove links to that screamer, sending links to screamers are prohibited on alternative forums (e.g. 2Sucres, AVENOEL, etc...).
