Escape from the Coolsonian, also known as Scooby Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed: Escape from the Coolsonian, is a point and click adventure flash game.

Made as a tie-in promotion game for the live action movie of the same name, the game was originally hosted on the official movie website in 2004[1] then spread out to other flash websites afterwards.

Content

The player takes on the role of Scooby-Doo who is trapped in the "Coolsonian Museum." To effectively escape said museum, the player must navigate through 3 different "exhibits" while solving puzzles of varying difficulties throughout.

Exhibit 1 is titled "Hall of the Great Beyond", Exhibit 2: "The Mummy Archives", and Exhibit 3: "Zombies through the ages."

Jumpscare

During Exhibit 2 the player must find a way to make the sarcophagus in the middle of the level descend inwards into the ground to reveal a descending staircase to allow the player to escape the exhibit. The proper way to achieve this is to solve the various puzzles in the exhibit.

On the far right of the exhibit, there lies an innocuous-looking crowbar that players can use to open the sarcophagus. Naturally most players would assume this tool would help them find or solve any clues to escape the exhibit. Unfortunately for the unassuming player, this tool is nothing but a bait and switch.

When using the crowbar on the sarcophagus, the screen transitions to a dark screen of various hieroglyphics (possibly what's inside the sarcophagus). Vague and creepy whispering can be heard, with hard-to-read text slowly fading in saying the following.

"Please, haven't much time. Someone coming, Need help before"

Right after the last words fade in, a creepy image of a skull/mummy with yellow eyes flashes with an ear-piercing scream. The image is quite realistic, and does not fit in with the otherwise innocent theme of the game.
