no. It does not need cookies. Once your on the website, you get
the virus. Viruses dont need cookies to get people. There is
also malware and other typical virus stuff.

Malware is pretty much a generic term given to programs that
contain trojans and viruses. You should avoid downloading a
program you don't know about/haven't heard much about because
it could harm your computer.

Malware is the classification for every program,script,app,
website or other stuff that interrupts or tries to interrupt
the normal behaviour of your machine. Examples:
Adware - Displays extra ads in your browser.
Virus - A piece of code which tries to do bad stuff.
Worm - Must spread to other computers.
Joke Program - Main purpose is to annoy the fuck out of you.

something, clearing your temp directory and your download
folder as well as your cookies will remove it.
