'''Zippocat''' is an early shock image depicting the burning of a cat. It is most often associated with sites such as [[Encyclopedia Dramatica]] and [[4chan]], and is infamous for the enraged reaction it often elicits whenever it is posted.<ref><nowiki>https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/zippocat</nowiki></ref>

Zippocat is presented in a bizarre format not usually used for shock images, or images in general. It is a 15-panel series of images, beginning with a grey kitten standing around, before being set on fire. In the 13th panel, a Zippo brand lighter is shown, which is where the series gets its name from. In some panels, a timestamp is shown, indicating that the series of panels was taken from a video.
A [[YTMND]] page titled "Zippo cat" was created on June 8, 2007, displaying 15 still frames from the original video of a cat being lit on fire. The page's text reads "No, it's not alright ki", "No chapstick for you!", and it plays [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSsfjHCFosw E1M1] (At Doom's Gate) in the background. It appears that the page was created by an individual with a ''peculiar'' sense of humor. Many users rated the page 5 stars, but some users found it disturbing. In the comments, a user named "Spotz" claimed to have given it a 5-star rating due to the music, to which another user named "Gecko" replied "Nothing justifies 5'ing burning kittens. Not even Doom music." The last four words of Gecko's reply became an internet meme.

Due to the timestamp that is present in multiple panels, it has been determined that the Zippocat series of images is actually a preview of a longer video. Although the images are quite similar to the [[NEDM]] video, another shock video depicting a different cat being burned, no trace of the original video that the images were taken from has been found.<ref><nowiki>https://itjustbugsme.com/forums/discussion/5653/the-zippocat-video-has-been-successfully-erased-from-the-entire-internet</nowiki></ref>

The administrators of the Ogrish.com website tracked down the video's uploader and the actual killer of the cat, which took them only two days. The uploader was a 15-year-old Belgian male and the actual killer was a 26-year-old Belgian male named Kishor Nokayonokatsu. Both men were eventually arrested.<ref>https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/763506175874301984/1037491353522802768/unknown.png</ref>

Zippocat was a shock video published on July 22, 2005 to Ogrish.com that later became an internet meme. The video features a small gray kitten named Sonny being petted and held upside-down by a German/Belgian man, who proceeds to set the cat on fire with a Zippo lighter and burn it alive while continuing to record. The 4-minute and 12-second video was uploaded to Ogrish.com but was promptly removed. YTMND

A YTMND page titled "Zippo cat" was created on June 8, 2007, displaying 15 still frames from the original video of a cat being lit on fire. The page's text reads "No, it's not alright ki", "No chapstick for you!", and it plays E1M1 (At Doom's Gate) in the background. It appears that the page was created by an individual with a peculiar sense of humor.

The administrators of the Ogrish.com website tracked down the video's uploader and the actual killer of the cat, which took them only two days. The uploader was a 15-year-old Belgian male and the actual killer was a 26-year-old Belgian male named Kishor Nokayonokatsu. Both men were eventually arrested.[2]
