Findminecraft.com was a screamer webpage registered in 2013 by an unknown person.

Description

Upon loading, a flashing image of Jeff the Killer immediately appears along with an extremely loud and metallic-sounding noise. This is the same Flash program that was used in Anne.jpg. Because of its similar domain name with the real site, this website has misled many users who intended to access the official website of the video game Minecraft.

History

The website was registered in August 2013, and displayed the same content as described above. The Flash program was named "alts.swf", located at scetch.net, a mirror of Anne.jpg.

In 2014, the site began redirecting to another Flash program, with the same "screamer.swf" file located on the page /images/enter-at-own-risk/ from Minetime, which was also deleted off the platform. The domain "findminecraft.net" was registered again in 2014, but did not contain any screamer.

In May 2017, the hoster of the website was banned by Cloudflare, followed by a discontinuation of the website. The site was later purchased by a cybersquatter on July 7, 2019, and was last updated in May 2021.

Popular YouTuber DanTDM once opened the website while recording, adding to the site's popularity.[1]
