While navigating through the maze, touching the flying hamster displays the message, "Whoops! You ran into the furry flying Hamster of Death! You have to start over! OH NOES!!!" and bumping into the moving sheep displays the message, "You touched the sheep! Ha ha!!! Start Over!!". In both cases, the player is forced to start over. Additionally, attempting to take the lower route near the beginning of the maze results in the message "What are you doing trying to take the easy way out?!!", forcing the player to restart. Touching the walls also results in a restart of the game, as expected.

There is an alternate version of this game titled "A-MAZE-ing Maze!", unfortunately, the game itself was not archived. The only remaining trace of it exists on a [[reaction video]] uploaded to [[YouTube]] in December 2006, titled "SCARY MAZE GAME, MAYBE".<ref>youtube.com/watch?v=g4Shi4wLoEg</ref>
