			The video was uploaded onto [[YouTube]], onto a channel named after it. It’s unknown what led to the video’s creation. The creepypasta, which the video appears to be based on, was uploaded onto the Trollpasta and Spinpasta Wiki. The creator of the video turns out to be musician and animator Devin Millar, only creating it as a test for his animated adaptation of the infamous Max and Ruby 0004 creepypasta. He came out 8 years later in a YouTube video revealing that he created these, and he made it when he was 14 years old.

			The attention of the video was slow for a good couple of years, but then in late 2022, the video was rediscovered and quickly spawned many remixes and reaction videos out of nowhere, and people started tracking down the creator. It is often associated with other creepy videos such as Obey the Walrus, I Feel Fantastic, and Agamemnon.
