			Similar to how BitTorrent works, you may have to change your firewall settings on Windows. firewall -> allow an app through firewall -> ipfs desktop.exe, then allow it on public and private networks. This allows files to properly be pinned and added. Depending on your machine, this may be configured automatically and no steps will be needed.
