After the selection, a cutscene of an apple-shaped ship (referred to as the Apple of Enlightenment) landing on the same spot as the meteorite in the original game is shown. After that, Buzz Buzz emerges from the ship where he discovers people ~~that~~ were turned into stone. Buzz Buzz then heads to Ness's house. On his way, he battles a Coil Snake which mutates into a Spoil Snake, takes Picky Minch with him, battles shadowy apparitions of Porky Minch, followed by a mutated monster, that emerges from ~~it's~~ own house, before finally arriving to Ness's house.
